Looks like we're trying to land this guy transferring out of Buffalo.

Matt played at ODA in Sarasota before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton for his final year of high school. He was an early enrollee(January,2014)at the University of Buffalo(FBS)where he then redshirted in 2014.Matt subsequently played this past season as a redshirt frosh in 2015.Great size and smart kid.He would have 3 years of eligibility at UR and would be immediately eligible to play if he were to enroll at UR.By the looks of things he would be contributing on the gridiron from the get-go.

All Matt's highlights-UB,IMG,ODA

Come on down from snowy and cold Buffalo to sun filled and more temperate weather UR,Matt. Both of our families would be flying up to RIC/DCA or wherever from either SRQ or TPA for all the games.Tailgates in B-3 and great UR weekends.

New DC Chris Cosh is quite familiar with Buffalo's roster. He spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons at the University of Buffalo as its DL coach.

Question. Wouldn't Murphy have to sit out a year under the transfer rule.

Correct, no sitting out for FBS -> FCS with three years of eligibility.

Matt's future plans:

"am searching for a school back in Florida or in the South as a whole to continue living out my dreams of playing Division 1 Collegiate football. Most people will probably think that I am unwise to be leaving a school that I am pencilled to be the starting tackle at next season; however I am looking for a school with experienced coaches that can help me reach my full potential. In 30 years time I want to return to my College with my family and be proud of all that I accomplished there. I want to play on a team that I make a difference on and help it win multiple championships in the 3 seasons of eligibility that I have remaining.

I have a strong connection with the South and it is where I want to put down my roots after I graduate from College. Some of the best memories of my life have happened in the South and that is one of the reasons I want to return (also its not -30 for 8 months of the year too !)

In 3 years time when my eligibility is exhausted I want to leave college with a World Class business degree and rings on my fingers. On the team that I do join I will lead by example and maintain my good grades in the classroom whilst working extremely hard in the weight room/ field. My long-term goal is playing on Sundays, but before that I want to work hard and help win as many games as possible."

Yes, but then I'm wondering why he chose Buffalo if those were his thoughts/feelings? No other offers below Niagara Falls?

I think he could do very well here. Pull the trigger Matt

Matt was born in Ireland and grew up in London before coming to the U.S. for his last couple of years before college...may still be finding himself in this country.
