seems Sluka was too hot to handle by big time Teams. Guess he had to settle for his old coach who rescued him. Not sure but all does not sound right with his settling at JMU except he had no offers elsewhere?🏈🕷️🕸️

my take is that Cam is looking to be in line for a big payday for his 5th year. Redshirt next year. Have a big year the following year and then be a power 4 transfer for the 5th year. Would make $1M+ for that year.

If teams are paying more for low tier FBS transfer thanks FCS transfers, I can’t fault the logic. I don’t have to like it, but I do have to accept that may be the current environment.

Very well could be we find our place in the pecking order at UR of getting solid recruits and getting them on playing field quickly to develop their skills. Some will move on and hopefully some will stay and finish their career and get a valued diploma if the football career path doesn’t work out. The main thing we can do is to continue to offer a winning program with solid facilities and a coaching staff that can develop talent. Many kids will want to play early on and hopefully a large group of those will continue to value the UR diploma, playing time and a winning culture.

Don’t forget that we also been on the other end as two of our starters currently on the roster came from JMU. We have to realize who we are and work from the positives that we can both benefit from.

Looks like Villanova and William Mary also fall into the JMU Feeder School category based on the portal transfers in the above link provided by 32!
