Depends on how big of a step up you're talking about. Mitchell certainly is sharing a lot of FBS interest, but Coleman, Traynor, and Gouveia have all claimed FBS offers as well.

JMU WR has been offered by UR and is visiting next week. He's visiting Maine this weekend.

Heard parts of interview so cannot say much, replay should be up on radio site later. Heard above, also said no leaving players mentioned Patriot or money. Said felt they proved could play at higher level and wanted to try.

This might be up somewhere already.
If have not heard it, might be worth your time.

He actually praises the players leaving for helping Spiders win a championship at one point and says they are owed gratitude.

I thought his comments were classy.

And to reduce costs, at the expense of the football program.
If the 63 scholarships are filled by players who leave after two years, or by players who stay for all four, the cost is identical.

Not sure how "reducing costs" figures into it. But, your logic often eludes me.

Agree with your words. Unless we see a change in funding, UR has been extremely generous as well as donors to our football program. I still say the toxic climate over NIL and the portal were the driving factors to our move to the Patriot League.

is there a full list of UR guys in the portal? Can include those that left the team before the end of the season.

The ships r the primary cost. But there is certainly more cost to going out & replacing players at a higher frequency. Just like hiring & turnover comes with a cost in corporate world. Very logical. Gallipoli can speak for himself & what he meant but if 63 players r staying for 4 vs. 2 years no doubt it reduces costs. But more importantly I think Richmond wants a high % that matriculate to graduate.

Traynor is visiting Wisconsin on Friday. He has another visit scheduled too, but I can't get past the paywall to see what it is.

I was looking for clarification. So unless there is no reduction in scholarships in the PL, there will be no decrease in monetary costs.
