I was banging on re-tread Frank Martin and UMass being ranked ahead of us pre season by so many. But hey, he can coach and so far has brought together his cast of transfers and freshmen very well. Guy is legit.
In fairness though, they have played no one worth a damn. But, they also did not lose to as high school team like William and Mary.
While that may be true, they have 3 of the 5 best wins in the A-10, which is sad….
Pitino crushing SLU tonight 64-49 with 8 min to go … another a10 team close to being eliminated from reasonable at large chat unless 15-3 or better in conference.

I happen to be at this vcu-Jacksonville game tonight. Don’t ask. But vcu sucks. They may be worse than us. They do nothing well. Down by 10 with 10 minutes left. Also, Sal Koureissi’s brother plays for Jacksonville. Random.

A-10 is staring down the barrel of a 1 bid league. I think the only team that has the talent to really make a run is St. Louis, but am open to UMass surprising me, as 23 said, Frank Martin can coach and coaching matters.
The rest of the league is crap though. Dayton has way too many injuries, seemingly all at the guard position, VCU is not very good, they appear to have found their Chris Mooney, and well we lost to William and Mary which is automatically disqualifying.

Yes, looking pretty bleak for the A10 at this point. Umass starting PG Noah Fernandes out with an ankle for tonights matchup against a pretty good Umass Lowell team, which I am sure will be excited to beat big brother.

Going by Kenpom rankings (changes daily) not the best of years so far. Even currently below CUSA. Could be worse/better if NET has conference rankings? Like stated here already STL only legit at-large shot. Beating Drake and Boise St helps resume. Just wondering is A10/MWC challenge still eventually happening?
