Agree, 4k or so. Also tuff competition with some important FBS games on TV and the not so important VaTech vs UVA game.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, been trying, but apparently they had to take down some wall in Richmond so we could post more than 10 times.
Absolutely, we have Bison Burgers in GF. Lots of Broccoli also. You are most welcome to come visit. There is a rancher just west of town that has a herd of Buffalo and keeps the alumni, locals, and beyond in stock. His Bison kills are also sold in local grocery stores. Now the broccoli is commercially shipped in, also I and many gardeners raise it in our garden, very good vegetable. In fact I just pulled mine up in the middle of deer season and used the plants as deer bait, they also love it. Doesn't that tell you something.
Now back to this troll, I'm surprised he's alone but the ball game's not over yet, just remember there's no need to go to Fargo, from Minneapolis, go to GF, you'll be treated respectfully! Wish you a great game!

LOL, congrats on getting past the wall. I'm not traveling this weekend but thanks.
Would love to hit Cowboys @ Vikings tomorrow night then head on over, but those days are in my past.

I do not like plates of cow s$$t.
I do not like them, not one bit.

I will not eat them at your dome.
I will not eat them in my home.

I would not, could not, in North Dakota.
I would not, could not, with a soda.

Even if you cook with Crisco,
I'm saving up my cash for Frisco.

UND has sold 6,453 tickets for Saturday's home playoff game as of Tuesday morning
By Tom Miller on Nov 29, 2016 at 1:46 p.m.

Before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, UND head football coach Bubba Schweigert took to Twitter to tell students the Fighting Hawks need them in attendance for the school's first FCS playoff appearance Saturday at the Alerus Center.

Since his hiring three years ago, Schweigert has said the thought of once again packing the Alerus Center has kept him up at night.

According to the numbers so far, Schweigert's vision is slowly becoming reality.

During the 2016 regular season, UND averaged more fans per game than it has in eight years. The 9,965.6 average ranks as the No. 3 season average in the Alerus' 15-year history.

No. 7-seed UND (9-2 overall) hosts Richmond (9-3) on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The game will be carried by ESPN3.

"We're excited to be at home," Schweigert said. "It's an advantage if you play well and the crowd gets into the game and can help you. Success early helps you with momentum in the game."

As of 9:53 a.m. Tuesday, UND has sold 6,453 tickets. The Alerus' capacity, including standing-room only tickets, is upwards of 13,000.

The 6,453 tickets already sold includes 728 student tickets. Student tickets are being sold for $5, although a number of student tickets were given away for free thanks to a few donors.

NoDak Nation, the official student athletic booster organization, bought 500 student tickets. One anonymous donor bought 100, another bought 50 and a third purchased 20 for a total of 670 free student tickets.

These free student tickets were given away by 10 a.m. Monday.

UND's attendance figures have risen each of the three seasons under Schweigert, who has taken the team from 3-8 in 2013 to 5-7 in 2014, 7-4 in 2015 and 9-2 in 2016.

In 2014, UND averaged 7,485 fans with a high of 9,118 against Robert Morris. In 2015, UND averaged 8,318 fans with a high of 9,865 against Drake. In 2016, UND is averaging 9,965.6 with a high of 11,477 against South Dakota in the home opener.

The only two seasons that 2016's attendance numbers trail are 2008 and 2001.

UND won a national championship in 2001, the same year the building opened. The 2001 attendance figure of 10,024 was also boosted by a showing of 13,500 against rival North Dakota State.

UND played its first Division I season in 2008 and was also the first season for former head coach Chris Mussman. UND averaged an Alerus-best 10,167 that season.

The reality, though, is many season attendance figures are negatively impacted by postseason appearances, where attendance has dipped due to a number of factors.

UND isn't unique in the postseason attendance dip. The first round of the FCS playoffs last weekend featured eight host schools where attendance for the playoff game was down an average of 59.8 percent from the regular season average, according to the Charleston Post & Courier.

A couple of the factors in the dip are short notice to make plans for the game, season-ticket plans don't include playoff games and there are no complementary or discount tickets for playoff games.

UND's last home playoff game in 2007 came against Winona State in the NCAA Division II tournament's first round. Only 5,370 fans were in attendance to see UND beat Winona State 44-2.

In 2006, UND played one home playoff game. The 42-0 win over Winona State was seen by 5,073 fans. It was the same story in 2005, when UND hosted Minnesota Duluth in the first round in front of 5,223 fans.

UND hasn't drawn more than 10,000 fans for a home playoff game since beating J.T. O'Sullivan and UC Davis 14-2 on Dec. 1, 2001, in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

"We want the Alerus to be packed," UND all-Big Sky Conference running back Brady Oliveira said. "The fans make a big difference. I hope they fill the Alerus."

Will they provide a full report on number of hot dogs sold, camodes flushed and overalls worn in the Sunday edition?

We keep close tabs on attendance due to the positive amplification noise effects within our dome (the Alerus Center).

Richmond experienced what noise (and a good defensive football team, obviously) can do to an offense last season when they played North Dakota State in the FCS semi-finals.

If UND's fans do what most here are expecting them to do, the noise will again be a factor for the Spiders in North Dakota.

Best of luck to your young quarterback.

You guys needs to brag about domes and crowd noise a WHOLE lot more if you aspire to be like the Bizon.

Where is Aleris on the decibel meter? Somewhere between a squealing pig and a pickup with a bad carburetor?

I don't know, seems hollow to me to brag about the crowd noise -- I would rather brag about the quality of my team and their play on the field.

I made sure to include "a good defensive football team" in my comment. There's no question that is the greatest factor in a solid defensive performance.

As for bragging about the quality of defense that UND plays, UND has the Big Sky Conference defensive player of the year in safety Cole Reyes. UND also has the 7th best rushing defense in FCS (averaging less than 92 yards per game), has scored the 5th most defensive touchdowns in the FCS (4), and UND has the most interceptions in the FCS (20).

They have performed well so far. Nevertheless, the playoffs are an entirely different animal.

Have you attended a UND football game in the Alerus Center before? Based on your comments regarding your noise expectations, I think you will be quite surprised (that is if you attend the game, of course).

Noise aside, the game on Saturday will obviously come down to execution.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for both programs. It's amazing how both became so quickly successful after jumping up from D2. It's also pretty cool that there is no major football in the state so everyone loves NDSU and UND. The fan bases seem pretty legit at both too. I know NDSU's is and I get the feeling that UND has a great fan base as well.

theres only 1 football fanbase in the state. NDSU 19000 each game, sold out b4 the season , espn gameday twice 5 titles, 9 fbs wins, 7 nfl players right now versus und...which ..has... well... hmmm. not much. enjoy the 5000 fans that show up in grand forks while 30,000 tailgate at ndsu and 19000 at the game.

ive proven my point. ill talk to you guys sunday to SCOUT for EWU. Richmond will win this game, dont turn the ball over, play tough defense and you got it.

Lakesbison...OUT!

Ya, knocking down that wall was a battle.
I going to the Vikes/Boys game tomorrow, driving to Minneapolis in the morning, back in GF for the UND/Richmond game. Both could be exciting games.
Like your poem! Wish you well.

Hopefully your coach and players don't have that attitude or the game won't be exciting! Now on the highlights of your last game, right after your first touchdown, as the fans where cheering, I could here that pickup you're eluding to driving by your field. We laughed.

Just don't tell the NCAA.
Agree with you there, seems like this works. We had our last playoff game in 2007, but were Div II then and same kinda chatter used to exist and also in the decades before.
We used to call the attendance numbers an accounting misfire by the AD, all speculation of course. Lets have a great game.

It's pretty unfortunate that the situation with your coach is stealing every bit of thunder from this game for you guys....

Thx, we will still come ready to play, but it is taking some of the spark out of the pregame

Wow, this guy is ridiculous. Considering all the crap he consistently spews, I shouldn't be surprised.

Expect a crowd of over 10,000 people for tailgating and game in Grand Forks (home of THE University of North Dakota). Lakesbison, as he has been trying to do all along, is blatantly trying to somehow deceive you all into thinking UND isn't miles ahead of NDSU in athletics and academics. As for NDSU, they've been successful recently and all that, but as you can see, their fans have lost sight of reality and are delusional (they think they're the next best thing to Alabama football; sometimes, you can see "Bring on 'Bama" signs floating around the Fargodome).

Oh wow. you really "debated" me on the facts İ presented.

ill leave with this rebuttle

I thought you were "out"? Yet, you are back again to spew your nonsense?

Is Richmond playing the North Dakota State buffaloes this weekend? You would think they are based on both Lakesbison's presence and posts.

The infatuation that NDSU fans have with UND is textbook inferiority complex.
NDSU has football success right now, UND has everything else. And soon, NDSU won't even have football to fall back on. Sad deal I guess.

I'm back in GF for tomorrows Richmon/UND game, Vikes gave the Boys the game yesterday. Pretty impressed with their new stadium. Expect our game to have just as close a finish.

inferiority??? hahaha.

Richmond likes us, something youre not used to.
"Like" when your player launched himself at David Jones arm last year and wrecked him his arm and his future. No it was a dirty play and you should be ashamed of your team. David Jones WAS an all-American, with pro prospects.

I'm getting ready to head over to tail gating. I apologize to anyone if they may have been offended by my comments, hoping for a great game.

Why do you color your turf the same color as your uniforms? Is that something all the Big Fluffy teams do?

to goto Stink Forks.. you usually always have to fly to Fargo then bus 70 miles like when they bring their recruits in...haha

anyways. punch them in the mouth, they havent beaten 1 solid fcs team this year (poly just lost to a non scholly) total paper tiger. there will only be about 6500 actual fans in thier tin shed. Run the football, use alot of play action and blitz the crap out of their QB and you win 31-14

dam i was pretty much spot on... no more than 6500 there and only off 4 points on Richmond. and you used my play calls. Youre Welcome!

ill.give u a SCOUT report on ewu tomorrow

We don't have the ability to PM on this board. You can go directly to the Official Online Team Store, though delivery by Wednesday may be a problem. Just not sure. You may want to call and talk to them to make sure that they get it our in time.

Lake go to home page, click drop down more, very good variety of items to purchase. Cannot say about timing.
