I would love for him not to be gone. That said, I can't believe he is not.

Do they teach locker room speeches in Blacksburg? Because "Our season is over" probably won't cut it.
It was one mistake I made. I'm a really fiery guy and where my emotions on my sleeve. I could get our boys ready to play with a Pachino like speech.

Hear me out here. How about Will Healy. Ok down side:
He is young
His first HC job was a losing cause
He has not been proven

Upside:
He has Great football IQ
He can step in and know how to inherit a winning team
He is loyal
He will not command top notch pay
The players will love him
He can bring back alumni player support
We do not have to look over our shoulders fora few years
After next year he can grow with the program
I could go on..............

Not a bad idea at all. I think we give him a few more years and eventually he will be a great hire. I absolutely agree that the players will love him and he will grow with the program. I didn't know he was a head coach right now, where is he?

We have a lot returning. Just to let it sink in that a lot of our 2nd & 3rd string just got us to the quarterfinals. A lot of young guys got a lot of playoff experience. There are some big holes to fill, but we should be a poised to keep it going next year and make another deep playoff run.

Will is Austin Peay. I have heard that team discipline has improved and things looking up for a program that has struggled for years. He was here when London came. He is an expert on QB playing and one in waiting. Why can't we look for our a Tally or Laycock. He knows Clawson and Huesman schemes.

Don't disagree, but how do you know when you have one?

Seriously now, UR has one of the best records in FCS playoffs overall. We have paid our coach well, and will be a loaded team coming back next year. I think a lot of quality coaches would want this job. Wish RD was one of them but of not, someone good is out there there will. Beat the Tribe and Dukes in 2017!

I'd like the Will idea if not for the last time we hired a young coach off the clawson tree.

You might want to add Delaware to that 2017 list. Talk about Rocco sticking it in Gill's ---.

Either cosh or Garrett could do the job well. I really think we need to keep one of those to take the team if DR. Leaves. The pieces are in place for another run I think one would stay as a HC and then we wouldn't miss a beat with recruits and the team
Very very capable coaches and very well respected by the team

Keeping Fontel Mines should be Objective #1.Split DR salary in half and give to Cosh and Garrett on top what they get now.Make them co-HC.

This is a serious conversation? What the F is wrong with you people. If we have an AD who doesn't even live here. Why bother? I would encourage anybody who gives money or buys tickets to seriously consider what you are doing.

Gave up my season tickets in basketball last year in protest of the lack of urgency. I'd suggest the same for football games for everyone who is upset. Worst case, even if you buy single-game tickets to every game, you are making the athletic department sweat. Season ticket totals are what they care about.
