NCAA Bracket supports UR athletics Fund

Had this forwarded to me from a friend the other day so thought I would share here as I figured a handful of you might be interested.

Looks like Kevin Steenberge and Mike Skrocki - two former UR players - have an NCAA bracket to support the Dan Woolley Educational Fund in UR Athletics. Some of you might remember Dan was the manager of the basketball team who died unexpectedly after graduating from UR from his kidney disease. Dan was a manager with Kevin and Mike during the 2004 NCAA tourney team and the year we beat Kansas.

Here is the link to the group and password that was sent to me if anyone is interested in joining. I believe all they suggest is a $20 donation to the Woolley fund (how to donate is on the bracket site I think) and they say there is a prize for 1st place.

Some of you might remember at the last home game the Woolley fund was presented to some of the team managers. I believe they select managers each year to receive the funds to help support their tuition.

Sounds like a good idea from two former great Spiders - way to go Kevin and Mike.

Trap thanks for posting this. If you get this next year anyway you could you post earlier in the week?

Also, can anybody post how to donate for those that didn't do the bracket?

I was able to sign up last minute and found this information on how to donate if anyone is interested.

1) Donate Online to the Spider Club. You can donate directly to the Spider Club at the following address.
https://www.uronline.net/givenow Just please make sure to select designation "OTHER" and then write in "Athletics - DAN WOOLLEY FUND". And if you donate through this method - please email myself (michael_skrocki@yahoo.com) or Kevin (kevin.steenberge@gmail.com) to let us know the amount donated so we can keep track of the total amounts raised.

2) Paypal. You can send money directly to me through PayPal. My paypal email address is michael_skrocki@yahoo.com.

3) Mail a check to myself (Mike Skrocki) Please make the check payable to THE UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND and in the memo line please write "Dan Woolley Fund". My address is - Mike Skrocki - 12544 St. Croix Place, Midlothian VA 23114.
