Honestly, even winning out only gets us up to maybe 50 in the NET. 13–0 here we come.

This from the guy who oversaw a 27 point home loss to St Josephs whose only other A10 win was over powerhouse GW.Either totally delusional, or a bald face liar. You choose.
Well if Torvik Simulation is any indication...Honestly, even winning out only gets us up to maybe 50 in the NET. 13–0 here we come.
Or, we aren't happy with where we are at right now and we are working our butts off to make sure we get better, particularly on the defensive end, so that we can put ourselves in a position to make the NCAA in March. This team has a goal to play in the NCAA and so we need to get better to achieve that goal. Instead, we get I think it would be possible, look at our schedule. One makes you sound accountable, acknowledging the situation, puts pressure on a senior laden team to play better, the other just makes you sound pollyanic at best and clueless at worst. What do you guys want the coach and players to say? Is them saying they’re going to give up on the season and that they suck the only thing that will suffice? I know I’d be pissed if they threw the towel in, I want to support a team that is going to keep fighting and not give up on the season. Do we think we’ll get an at large? No. But if you’re a coach what gain do you get by telling the team your season is over so why even both?

As for our schedule thus far, we have beaten NO ONE who will help our resume and I really don't see any teams left that will move the needle far as a signature win. Davidson was our main chance to get a big W in conference, we didn't do it. Who do we have left that would be a really good win????
Do we think we will go 31-0 this season? No. But we will keep trying to achieve that this season. What do you guys want the coach and players to say? That 12-seed at 23–7 is an auto bid, not an at-large. He has a handful of teams on the "first teams out" list with a higher chance of a bid, but the simulation of us at 15–3 gives us the regular-season championship and thus the auto bid placeholder.Well if Torvik Simulation is any indication...
We are now NET 99
At 23-7 we are NET 61 and a 12 seed
At 22-8 loss at URI NET 71
Loss at Costco NET 72
Or 24-7 with home win vs GMU on 4/1 NET 58...
As it stands right now, we have one Q1 game left on the schedule...at VCU. And they're at #74, so a hair's breadth away from slipping to Q2, especially considering it would involve us beating them.As for our schedule thus far, we have beaten NO ONE who will help our resume and I really don't see any teams left that will move the needle far as a signature win. And that is why I don't usually attempt these simulations on the fly...That 12-seed at 23–7 is an auto bid, not an at-large. So if SLU dropped to 76, and VCU to 77, our Quad 1 record would look great...As it stands right now, we have one Q1 game left on the schedule...at VCU. And they're at #74, so a hair's breadth away from slipping to Q2, especially considering it would involve us beating them.
Yes, we would be undefeated against Q1 in that scenario. So if SLU dropped to 76, and VCU to 77, our Quad 1 record would look great...
Well it would look a lot like our most career wins, most career losses.Yes, we would be undefeated against Q1 in that scenario.
Option 1 assumes that the A10 gets two bids, which the various prognosticators currently believe is unlikely. I know people think that the A10 is a multi-bid league, but if UR somehow happens to win the league and doesn’t make it to the A10 final I wouldn’t bank on a trip to the NCAAs. Auto-bid or lots of hoping and praying.2 routes to NCAA - 1) win out regular season…….or 2) win A10 tournament
Win them all.In reality, even winning out in the regular season probably doesn't do enough for us. Because, say we lose our first game in the a10 tournament, then what? In reality, I think we need to win at least 15 straight from right now to have any chance of an at large bid.
Win them all, Coach gets an extension. It's a win-win!Win them all.
What could go wrong?Win them all, Coach gets an extension. It's a win-win!
What ever happened to taking it one game at a time? That is every coaches golden rule. This guy is an embarrassment to Princeton. What a moron. This would have been a time for him to just say "I'm not going to talk about the postseason -- We want to win as many games as possible the rest of the way and let that take care of itself."
By saying this, he just solidifies himself as being clueless and illogical.
Soft universityLocal reporters use their kiddie gloves with this guy. Charmin soft.
Soft reporting. Soft coach. Soft team
All big time coaches would have said… “we dont think about that, that is out of our hands, we have to take it one game at a time and prepare as well as we can.” I mean the fact that he admits the players are talking about the NCAA is ridiculous. “When you have one eye on the task and one eye on the goal, it is likely you will never reach it.” This dope has had them thinking 4 months ahead i stead of on each sibgle game.He didn't say "no sweat," but yes, I would really have liked to see some acknowledgment of how much of an uphill climb it is that he's talking about.
I don't expect him to say, "welp, all we have left is to focus on one week in March," but give me a realistic assessment beyond just the obvious "it would take a lot of wins."
