Finally! A thread dedicated to calling for Chris Mooney's ouster. I wonder how people on this board feel about this topic?
I'll come back when he's gone. Start kicking in some money again too. In the meantime. I'm living a little larger than normal on that "saved" money and laughing at my TV when they play, when Bob Black defends the lunacy and anytime Matt Smith fills up the screen.
Man, we have a freaking great crew between Mooney, Matt Smith, etc. I wonder if Hovde is waking up every morning feeling blessed that he left San Fran to come here. Would love to see him screaming at Moon on the sideline.

Well, yes, just the cost of living difference was probably pretty nice. But I don't get the impression he is a guy who likes losing, or is soft. But stay on staff with Mooney another 4-5 years and he will come around.
Why get rid of Mooney? He is such a nice guy. Give him a chance. The players support and care so much about him. Donations at the highest level. We can't possibly change now 17 years isn't long enough.
Right now but his bank account might not like it if he’s taking a step down next year after a new coach likely doesn’t retain him. USF wasn’t a bad gig. Maybe he just wanted to get back to the East coast & I bet he assumed he was coming back to ncaa team in waiting that would turn into staff stability at UR. I don’t think we r giving out multi year contracts to assistants here they r probably renewable annually.
Yeah, had the same rights. MoJo is used to the one-year deal lately, but Hovde could end up like Dave Clawson after he jumped to Tennessee.

Mooney’s end game has been terrible forever, minus when KA would bail him out. He owes KA lot of $$. We got a couple buckets when it got helter skelter other than that zip. We play panicked.

Wrong. It can be a peaceful divorce. PQ gives Mooney a fat buyout and he “resigns.” No embarrassment for the school, no drama “firing” the schools winningest coach. It’s over. The most fervent Mooney supporters even see it now. You’ll see…
And to clarify I have no insider information on this. I just think people are underselling how much more likely he gets fired after this season, compared to 2015, 2019, etc. I agree it’s after this year or never. I’ll quit on this school and the administration like the rest of you if it doesn’t happen after this year
I wouldn’t be so sure. All he has to do is pull at least a couple decent wins out of the remainder of the schedule, finish far enough above .500, and reach any postseason tournament and it’s gravy baby
There are a million reasons it should happen and a dozen ways it could happen, but until it actually happens, I will not believe it.
We will lose 3 times to VCU this season and it still won’t happen.

I didn't hear anything in-game but in the concourse after, and then all around outside the arena
I was at that end of RC. Heard it after Spiders were down 5 late. They were students. Main student section had filled up & these later arrivals were taking seats high up in sec 1& 2. Maybe a dozen students started chant and continued it afterwards outside
