This will be a rock fight. Mississippi State has a very large front court. St. Louis plays in your face defense and a tough physical brand of basketball. Mississippi State pulls this one out. Although, St. Louis is a better match-up for the Spiders.

St L with Hasahn French & the rest of all their physicality is a better match-up for us?????? They live in the paint & on the boards against us. They dominated against us in the paint.

Let me rephrase that. I think our Spiders want another shot at St. Louis. They know St. Louis. I think they believe they can beat St. Louis on a neutral court. But I still think MSU beats St, Louis.

I thought we would be helped by the fact that there are only 3 P6 teams in the entire NIT field, but yeah in this case bring on the SEC team.

We are a terrible match-up against SLU. We want Mississippi State.
I can't decide. Miss St has 5 players 6'9" or taller and 245 lbs or heavier that play double digit minutes and are better as a team at getting offensive rebounds than SLU. That seems like a bad matchup.

On the other hand, as a team they seem worse than this year's Kentucky...

This will be a slug fest. The advantage is that our Spiders will have more rest than either of them, but my preference is definitely Mississippi State.

We play the St Louis enough. Mississippi State would be something different.

Here's one for GKilller...somebody needs to tell our sports information folks how to fill out a bracket.

Lol. & they used that stupid blocky font.

But think it means we are so out of practice filling out a bracket. Nobody fills out the NIT. I get depressed getting invites to bracket pools. Another f'ing year to fill these out without the Spiders on it.

I'd rather we play a team that hasn't played against Mooney more than once. It only takes one time to know exactly what Mooney will (or won't) do.

Just noticed Miss St lost to Vandy...by 20...at home...
I think I have my answer.

Well, it ended up being Mississippi State...although I can't get excited for this game until I get all of my excitement out on VCU forfeiting.
