A win is a win for this team. And our 6 game winning streak begins now.

We hear it all the time when shooters are struggling from deep. Sometimes they need a layup or free throw just to see and feel the ball go through the hoop to get them going again. That is exactly what this team needed. They got a win last night, and that has put them on the right track. They will beat FGCU, then enter A10 play with a win vs. GW and the confidence will be rising. We have heard stories of this being a great shooting team - well, those stores are about to become reality. DLO is going to rise to 1st team all league level performer on a nightly basis. Beagle is going to give us 12+ points a night in support, and on any given night - our European connections will go off and get us 20 points. Defense will struggle a bit - but our offense will carry us. We will win games 94 - 89. High scoring, high flying, Spiders - here we come.
Well Trap you are an eternal optimist. I just cannot see us being an offensive juggernaut .

A couple observation I noticed.

1. Tyne got benched. Barely played in the second half, Mooney would go to a single ball handling guard line-up over putting him back in. It was a justified benching. Tyne plays out of control so much and he needs a little more time on the bench to figure out how to correct it.
2. Tanner: I thought he gave us some quality minutes out there
3. Walz: If Mooney could figure out how to properly utilize him in our offense, I think he could do some things. As long as he plays with his back to the basket out near the 3 point line though, he is simply a man the other team does not have to guard. He plays solid D, nice rebounder, can be a rim protector.
4. Dusan is the best scorer on the team.

Thought the team played with a lot of energy, but we have no alpha on this team. Second home game in a row, I saw another player smack talk our entire bench and no response from us.

And lastly, a 7 point home win over a team with a NET in the 300's is not something to get excited about. Their are not any easier games on our schedule than this one, and VMI gave us all we could handle for pretty much the entire game.

One coaching decision had me perplexed was AP for a stretch getting more time than Dusan. Not following thoroughly but slightly injured? Poor practice player? Last few or so see Dusan getting more time and producing. Gets to the FT line while AP is 0-3 for the season.

Just looking at stats was it rebounding and also Mooney hoping AP would find his 3PT stroke? Know the defense has been poor but offense could use the guy averaging 12.2 and not 6.4 PPG.

Also I overvalued both Tyne and Walz showing improvement. Hunt doing everything he can for the team. Feel for you alum not looking in the least of an eventful season. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

From day 1, I have felt Dusan needs a lot of minutes. His shot looks good and he can drive to the basket and finish, or, as you said, get fouled and get to the FT line.

Don't want to harp on the kid too much, but didn't realize how rough Tyne's numbers are so far this season. He's now at 34.8% FG / 26.7% 3PT / 65% FT with 19 turnovers to just 13 assists in 12 starts. I think we might start to see a lot more of B. Artis if he doesn't start being more efficient.

Actually Hunt is pressing and missing several close in shots. Tyne just needs to relax and not force things unless they need forcing. But I think B Artis is going to work his way into the starting lineup.

B. Artis is not afraid to shoot. We need a bit more of that out of Tanner, AP and Walz.

Tyne is now 36-135 (26.7%) from 3 for his career. At his size, he is just not gonna make a positive impact shooting 3s like that.

I don't understand how he can get no time. He certainly seems to have a positive attitude and he seems to move well in warm ups. Is he really that bad?
He must be. We are shooting 30.0% from 3 as a team (323rd in the country), the 4 guards in front of him, including a walk on, are shooting 26.3%, 25%, 25%, and 18.8% from 3, and his best asset was supposed to be his outside shooting.

Can’t get used to the idea that all 5 transfers are not one season only.

On a different note, are Dusan & Roche the first two players we have had in a while with only 4 years of eligibility?
