4 semifinals or better appearances in 19 years, wow. I mean, wow. Between yearly flame outs in the OOC and this A10 tourney snapshot of sadness, shows why so few NCAA bids. Never positioned well going into the league, never make a run to force the way into the conversation late. I'm unsure who can defend the systems in place (especially on offense), they're not designed to consistently win big-time. This is a 20 year sample!!!

I was also at PPG and had forgotten about that being a semis. Khwan Fore's steal to seal the GW game the prior game was what got UR there. Guy drilled a really tough 3 to put VCU ahead, though the final look UR got with SDJ was not ideal IMO, Cline has to get the ball somehow (but didn't.)

It was worse. Game tied at that point. Our last shot was SDJ long 2 pt jumper after 1 on 1 iso vs nfl athlete Mo Ali Cox. Everyone in arena knew it was coming incl vcu. Why we didn’t go to Cline I have no idea. Nauseating. Then we got blown out in OT. The Souper Bowl dive bar in the Pitts b4 game was kinda fun. Overrun by VCU fans minus handful of Spids incl TJ’s mom. Had we won & gone back there postgame & tap flowing maybe I could have asked about Martina Nav. Or not lol.

What D-1 , A10 team shoots 30%.
Mooney’s fault- I think not. But we are all sad what this season is going to be like.

Team Shooting has been a problem for years. Mooney has been bailed out a number of times by small guards who gave everything to win. He recruits an endless stream of ‘shooters’ who under his tutelage can’t shoot?

I think the T for too many men was a reg season game.

Simon Says will forever be hard to top. A Richmond classic. In 1 of those u can’t believe this is really happening sort of ways.

I have zero memory of that game going to overtime. Literally none. I must have blacked out in frustration as we got pummeled.

We were basing it off of what we were told and trying to be hopeful, sorry I guess! My mistake, certainly not Mooney's right?

No, Mooney is absolved from all. It couldn't be that those guys look great shooting three's against our sorry defense in practice could it Annap, could it, could it? We all see guys at the gym that can knock down 10 threes in a row warming up, but step on the court and can't throw it in the ocean with someone guarding them. I'm glad Annap got PQ's memo. Let's not strive for greatness at leafy lil ol Richmond.
