This makes me ill.
I'm not sure why I have such a visceral reaction to all things positive re: William & Mary basketball, but perhaps it's because I went to plenty of basketball games in Williamsburg during my four years at Richmond.... and none of them had more than 100 total people present (and that's being generous).
Good for them. I don't begrudge them at all. It's just that when you wanted to contrast the total amount of interest in your program... and feel good about it on some level.. you could always rely on what it looked like in that high school gym of an arena with twenty people in it (none of which was 65 or under) to make yourself feel better.

always thought that arena was pretty solid ... though way too big. guess they were very optimistic at one point.
Yeah I haven’t been to Kaplan in a very long time but wouldn’t have called it a high school gym of arena. Plus I expect made at least a few enhancements over time. VCU way more high school than Kaplan.
I went to Lasalle's gym once. I understand it's gone through a renovation and it's pretty nice now, but I've been to bigger high school gyms. Fordham too.
Yes those r hs. Lasalle was the worst. When u have water fountains sticking out of walls behind basket it felt even like middle school. Has to better now but idk either. Fordham while small I didn’t mind because it had an old school architectural aesthetic to it. And u r right on top of the court at least which helps. Duq did a nice job with their reno tho primarily to 1 side of arena.
Speaking of adjustments maybe throw Jack D’entremont out there. What happened to him. I thought he might be 1 walk on to get spot mins as a proven d2 guy. Has size. I think AP still has potential for us but he’s not bringing enough still & can’t make shots. It doesn’t have to be over AP necessarily either but positionally looks like it. See what u got. Not a lot of building for next year regardless in this era. We lose primary guys & there will be transfers, and as we know we decided the 2 redshirts wouldn’t develop playing behind this stacked group. It’s not a big deal but why not.
if we're talking adjustments, play 2 of the 3 bigs together. CM teased us with it. I wasn't even really on board. but ffs, what we're doing isn't working. play 2 bigs together just so I can stop thinking that it might work. and tell them for just one game, to go after every board on both ends. just for kicks.

Why just two? Why not three big men or even four? Are the Duqs. that big a team? Put at least three big men in there. Have one constantly either going from wing to the low post or baseline to baseline. At least there would always be a big man under the basket to perhaps get a tip or (shudder) an offensive rebound. Wouldn't work with our finely tuned and firing on all cylinders "Princeton" offense? You must be joking. At this point I am not. Besides, what better team other than Fordham to try something (radically) different?
