Maine(2-3,0-2)

Good job, Spiders. I didn't see this one coming today. We are taking care of the football and really limiting our penalties..you can win a lot of games that way.

I didn't see us at 2-1 in the league at this point. Credit to our staff for keeping the wheels from falling off and the players for 'staying the course'.
I know Maine's mascot is the Black Bear. I think it would be cool if they were

Larson has a big leg. Loved the 68 yard punt. He followed it up with a 29 yarder, but his consistently will improve with experience. The last full time kicker/punter we had ( that was any good) was probably Mike Bragg, who went one to have a long pro career.

Hoping Larson has a girlfriend he that he can't possibly ever leave.

Griffin Trau was a disgrace compared to Lawson. Finally a real kicker. Glad Richmond Won, still don’t like Huesman
for losing to Fordham..

Bless your heart, Dr! You really hit the nail on the head by labeling the #2 career scorer in UR History as a "disgrace." Over the course of his Spider career, this "disgraceful" player was a two-time 1st Team All-CAA performer ('16 & '17), a Consensus All-America ('16), all-time CAA and UR field goal percentage record holder, CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year ('18), and made a number of high-pressure kicks for nationally-ranked Spider teams. How did your Spider career compare to this "disgraceful" one?

BTW, agree that through 6 games Jake Larson (please note his correct last name) looks like he will have a terrific career as both a kicker and punter.

We might want to add this little bit of information, which I all so find interesting about this outstanding representative of UR

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond senior kicker Griffin Trau (Hanover, N.H.) was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year by a vote of the league's athletic directors, the conference office announced this week.

Trau was chosen to the Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District first team for the second time in 2018 and was honored on the FCS Athletics Directors Association Academic All-Star team. He graduated with a degree in Leadership Studies & International Studies, and also completed a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts last December. Trau was honored as the Jepson School of Leadership Studies Student-Athlete of the Year in 2017.

Trau was recently selected for the prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 2019-20 academic year and has been awarded his position in the Czech Republic with an English teaching assistantship. The Fulbright Program is devoted to increasing mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Fulbright is the world's largest and most diverse international educational exchange program.

I think Dr. was way over the top and apparently other posters felt the same.
The class was Intro to Sociology 201. I really enjoyed it! I took a couple of other classes taught by Dr.. Stewart. One was something called ,The city."

Dr. Spidey......suggest you retract the Griffin Trau post with a proper apology. The FG to defeat the University of North Dakota in the playoffs, ranks as one of Spider football's most memorable moments!

Press quote:
"Sophomore Griffin Trau added to his incredible season with the game-winning FG as time expired, while senior Will McCombs made perhaps the biggest play of the afternoon with a blocked punt in the fourth quarter."

Dr. Spidey was way over the top with his negative comments regarding a particular player. Since it was a topic os many comments I thought it would be easy to follow. Sorry.

FRS I had Dr. Stewart for Collective Behavior in 74, I thought we may have been in the same class. At the time I felt it was of not much value, but since then I have seen where I use the principals I learned on many occasions.

CAA Football Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Dressler, Jr., LB, Richmond (Covington, Va./Covington)

Dressler recorded a career-high 20 tackles as Richmond picked up a 24-17 road win at No. 18 Maine. The 20 tackles are the most by any player in FCS this season, the most by a CAA player since 2017 and the most by a UR player since 2011. Dressler also had a key tackle for loss in the red zone on Maine’s final possession.

Guess what.Hailey does sleep with Rocco.New-Ark High school(3-3) ranked #23 by Hailey of STATS.
Does he publish his own rankings somewhere? I see the STATS Poll with UD at 24...but it is a poll, not his vote.

Believe me, I'm not trying to defend Haley. In 2008, he said Elon (8-4) deserved our (9-3) spot in the playoffs.
Let's see, our three losses were by 16 at Virginia, by 6 at Villanova, and by 7 to JMU (the Scottie punt return).
Elon's four losses were by 35 to Wofford, by 8 at App State, by 23 at Liberty, and oh yeah.......28-10 to Richmond. At home.

Hailey is NOT our friend.
