Well, he's the AD. How many years does he need to observe the success or failure of others' hiring? When does the success and decision making become his? Is the status quo good enough for him? I'm holding optimism this year for basketball. My goodness, if we don't make NCAA's this year, please somebody tell me when the next chance will be. If we don't, Mooney has more than enough body of work for Hardt to evaluate.
I wouldn't hold too much optimism with basketball. Mooney has shown over many years to lose at the most pivotal moments. Yet gets a free pass. Like revenue sports are failing how much longer before a change? I see empty seats and empty promises. Need to make a change now before it's too late. Losing the whole fan base to protect "yes man" who make ZERO adjustments. It's the lack of coaching ability and leadership. I don't blame the players.
When is the last time we fired a coach in football or basketball? Our administrators don’t want to do the hard part of their jobs. . A UR coaching job is a tenured position with no accountability. UR doesn’t care and the only folks who get hurt are the loyal fans.

Hart's attitude has been "If we win, it's OK. If we lose, it's OK. If we are mediocre, it's OK." The only thing he did was something he had to do. It seems that one will work out, but he's done nothing else. Maybe he has no real authority, but in that case, why even hire an AD in the first place?

Hardy should be getting all the snaps until Mancuso is back. Yes he'll make some mistake, but let him get those mistakes out of the way this season. Hardy and Wickersham are the future QB1 and QB2.
