Interesting article in Times Dispatch about depth and time management. We have 3 games in 5 days, and 10 games in 28 days. The team has a high quality bench, but in addition to Nick, 2 players, Connor Crabtree and Dji Bailey are on the DL.

We should be pretty good at the guard position, where Gilly, Blake and Burton can play a lot of minutes with great backs up in Gus and potentially Wilson. We should also be ok with Cayo/Sal if Sal has progressed as much as Mooney indicated. The guy I worry about is Grant. That is a lot of game minutes over 28 days and it is more difficult for big guys. His time will have to be managed closely. Hopefully, we can win by some big margins in a few of our games to give Grant more rest. We certainly need a fresh Gant if we want a chance to take down Kentucky.

Mooney just said Dji was just out of shape not on DL like Connor. Something change?

Let's see....One player had a broken wrist, one had hip surgery...My guess, I'm not a Dr. is that the one w/ wrist surgery could do as much cardio as possible....
True, but there is something about actually being on the court in game/scrimmage situations that just tends to increase your cardio, sharpen your bball skills and timing. That is probably what is meant.

Correct VT4700 Dji was only allowed to work defensively up until about 2 weeks ago. That is when he started getting run with the offensive parts. He has played PG his entire bball life but bc he is so versatile he is getting run on the wing, which eventually could help us down the road.
