Figured this deserved his own thread. Not at all surprised by this, but still pretty disappointed. No clue why Mooney just refused to play him most of the season, especially on a team that lacked talent. Curious where he'll end up.
Can’t blame him at all. We’ll never know his potential as a Spider. Injuries and then when healthy didn’t see court time. Finally Moon played him - 1 breakout game but never got deserved significant follow up mins. Few mins here and there in spite of a losing season with no where to go and players getting mins who had no more years of eligibility. Another great use of players by Moon.Figured this deserved his own thread. Not at all surprised by this, but still pretty disappointed. It is a real shame that he never got minutes from Mooney. Ohio Gatorade player of the year, got time at Michigan last year, and for whatever reason, he couldn't find rotational minutes in our dumpster fire of a team last year. He must have gone after offensive rebounds in practice and not done our patented weave correctly on offense.Saw this coming and pretty much encouraged it because he absolutely deserved better than what Moonie did for him this season. It was a travesty.
Agreed - I get not playing him early if you didn't think he was good enough or didn't give us best shot to win. But when Hunt went down, and then our record spiralled, what you got to lose? Play him in serious minutes for a 2-3 games, just to change it up and see what happens. It is a real shame that he never got minutes from Mooney. Never understood it. Whenever he did his 2-3 minutes, he never looked overmatched or scared out there either. He looked at the very least competent on the court. And hell, Roche, B. Artis weren't lighting anything up there and those guys were done anyway after this year, so why not see what you got.Agreed - I get not playing him early if you didn't think he was good enough or didn't give us best shot to win. Anyone interested in a another highly ranked guard leaving the Michigan program after a season? 😁 https://www.cbssports.com/college-b...oks-elsewhere-as-michigan-makes-sweet-16-run/
But near the end of the season he will say he has got to find you some minutes.Moon has a nice spot for you on the extreme opposite end of the bench.
I heard he is no longer going to be traveling with the team .. so I think he's gone. His Dad blames MJ for this whole situation. So is he leaving the program immediately or does he stay with it through the tournament?
