Guys, we have one of the top jobs in the FCS. Aside from Danny Rocco, is there an FCS head coach with a higher salary than Russ?
Throw on top, our stadium and the recently upgraded weight rooms/locker rooms/medical facility, I think we should be expecting a lot more. The pool of candidates that would desire our job and perform at a high level here is strong.
Richmond's football program is the proverbial yacht that lost its engine. That happened before the pandemic. Now we're just sitting in our rooms below deck with nothing to do, hoping the wind picks up, and waiting for a tug boat to be called to move us back to harbor.

I don't think Streenter gets any closer to the big prize of a BCS HC job if he comes back here. His next move will either be a G5 HC job or the full OC job at Clemson. Either would be 7 figures.
And, oh yea, he'd take a 10 grand a month pay cut to come back here.

you are probably right, but I just wanted to put it out there the one major slot needed to be filled is the HC position. Much easier to go from a G5 to a P5 than to go from an FBS to a P5 -- partly depends on ow many times he has been told he needs HC experience
What is a G5? And how is that easier than going from a FBS to P5 when the P5 is FBS?

Tech’s five defensive fumble recoveries were the fewest for the program since at least 1987, so the Hokies have stressed stripping the ball in drills and scrimmages.
We got beat only due to offense not performing and defense on field too long. But defense will get better
as the young DBs progress. At QB we are only able to run as Mancuso makes poor passing decisions.
Well, the Hokies will be down one linebacker in September.

Ya it is a bad look for the program but the details are starting to leak out. Looks like this might become the future of some Netflix true crime series in the future. It sounds like the guy he supposedly killed was a known predator in the blacksburg area and that this may be the result of some kind of cat fishing incident. Really bizarre so far and I’m sure is only going to get weirder.
Burmeister is a great athlete who is lot faster than you would expect in the open field and is great at avoiding pressure in the pocket. He’s got an average arm at best and doesn’t seem to read coverages all that well. When he’s able to do damage in the run game it opens things up for him. Take the run game away and he isn’t capable of much.
He sucked at Oregon. Could not complete a pass beyond 10 yards to save his life.
Of course, in his defense UO's offensive coaches made Justin Herbert look awfully average, too.
Any tips on finding reasonable accomodations in bburg for game wknd....looks like a screw job on game wknds as prices for 'decent' hotels are insane.....
Best bet is probably to get somewhere in Roanoke or Salem. Air bnb is always an option too. I even know some people that will stay up near the greenbrier and make a whole weekend out of that and going to a Tech game.
