Forecast for Georgetown game

Coach, anyway we could see not 1, but 2 Mooney techs ASAP so along with the bench players, we can see what UR possesses in bench coaching? :D

I think upset win , i think fight is on . Fight is on I want to see technical foul and we see good games from bench players and say why didnt they play more before again ha
Well...

I beileve we are predicted to lose 69-79. The exact same score that we were predicted to win over Hampton 79-69.

So hopefully they are exactly as wrong...

For years CM has recruited player that need substantial development to compete at the A10 level.... CM has never, ever been any good at that. The vast majority of players leave with the same skills they come in with (a few exceptions TJ, etc) Maybe being forced to play them will help... but it could also destroy their morale. I'm still all for firing Mooney now, it would take a lot of the pressure off the team/ younger players. Expectations would go to low to none and they could work on improving, without having the win/loss concerns.

undoubtedly in my opinion.
you don't think a healthy Jacob makes at least a 3 point difference on either end of the court? that's crazy.
Gilyard played the entire second half, he was in there. If he was too injured to be effective, that he should not have been on the court. Also wondering how much playing him in that second half, led to him not being able to play at Hampton and possibly tonight.

I've had a groin injury, they require rest to heal properly. I can't imagine playing a half of basketball immediately after injuring it and how that felt afterward and the day after.

I wanted him out too. I'm always cautious with injuries. and usually a healthy backup is better than an injured starter. but not with our current roster.

Jacob didn't seem to aggravate the injury. luckily. he moved better as the game went on. he played under control but nowhere near his ability on either end. guys play hurt. he's competitive. college sports is a tough business, not like the travel level I coached at where of course you pull a kid who's hurt.

I don't blame Mooney for letting him go. I don't think it added to the injury. Jacob clearly wanted to play, and even injured he gave us our best chance. but with a healthy Gilyard we win that game easily.

without a healthy Gilyard ... I don't know who we can beat. he's that important.

There's probably no bigger indictment of the program than this. If our best player doesn't play, we have no chance to beat any team. Think about that one.

"any team" is probably an exaggeration but he's really good and incredibly important to our team.

Considering we've already lost to Longwood (with a healthy Gilyard) and got blown out by Hampton (without him), I don't think you are exaggerating.

so which way do the tin foil hat guys read this?

1) Gilyard hates Mooney and wants us to lose by 30 to get him fired.
2) Mooney is holding Gilyard out to give himself an excuse for tonight.
3) Gilyard is really hurt ... because Mooney made him run stairs today.
I read it that the next man has to step up. If they cannot it reflects on the coaches for not having the depth required.

IMPRESSIVE 1st half by Cayo. Woj and Gust seem to be able to compete. Still like to see more of Sal. GT has talent but guessing Ewing will never be a good enough X and O coach? Maybe Depaul finally gets out of the Big East cellar this season? There is not a shot that McClung doesn't like and Ewing really left him in there for 17 minutes. Not changing my stance on Mooney, but watching this game UR could do worse.

Our defense is giving up easy shots and we are getting out rebounded again. However our starters are shooting lights out. Spiders down 3

We’re playing well, patient, and hitting 3s.

Please keep wojcik away from the strength coach
