We beat Loyola this year who is in the NCAA tournament too (and a better seed). Doesn’t mean anything to have beaten a team that made the tournament.
Did you forget Toledo lost to Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Ball State who are all lower in the NET than Duquesne? Or are you only cherry-picking things that make Richmond look bad?
Here’s the upside: guys get to run it back and wash the terrible taste of seasons end out of their mouths.

Doesn’t that fact that y’all are debating if this team can make an nit run enrage you? If it doesn’t it should. I wanna be debating on if we could win a 8 vs 9 game in the big dance like st Bona is doing. Look no further than SBU as to why UR has ZERO excuse to be where we are.
If we have Blake and Grant, we’ll have a very good shot. If not, it’ll be a struggle. Unfortunately, I don’t see any way Grant won’t still be compromised, but hopefully Blake will be back.
Losing in the first round of the conference tournament "with the best class ever" we get beat by Duquesne. Which later loses to the conference champ St.Bonaventure. Mooney has lost this team. Its time to prepare for next year.
All we can do is hope we win the next game in front of us. Right now that game is Toledo. Let's go out there and keep our season going. It has been a disappointing one, but I'd rather see more basketball than have the long wait until next season tips off.

Hopefully Crabtree and Sherod are back by Wednesday night.
As pissed as I am that we weren’t even on the NCAA bubble, I will always root for the spiders to win and watching them on TV is better than not having a game to watch. I still think we can do better than Mooney but since Hardt isn’t going to make the call, the best I can do is just hope for us to win.

Only underclassmen should start Wednesday...focus on the future and let the srs come off the bench. To me, only reason NIT makes sense for us.
I would be very surprised if this happens. But I’d prefer the emphasis is on returning players.

Pull for the players to win no matter what - they have no control over the administration of our sports programs - which puts them in the same category as the rest of us (other than the fact they are much younger)

I all seriousness, anybody coaching today or yesterday.
How about any Baylor assistant? One went to Oral Roberts four years ago, another went to North Texas. Seems to have worked out pretty well for both.
At this stage, I'd roll the dice in Vegas blindfolded and take just about anyone over Mooney. How much worse can it really get?

I’m really getting tired of Bob Black. I used to think he was as good as it got as far as his job and always liked his radio show a lot. Ever since the whole “we’ll find new fans” thing I just haven’t viewed him in the same way. Now I just think he’s a part of the problem at the school and find his defense of Mooney’s mediocrity to be very off-putting.
guys nit quarterfinals is really what moon is. That’s basically his high water mark. A really good year is win a game in NIT. Remarkably he’s worse in NIT quarters than the A10 tourney. If we aspire to be a NIT quarterfinalist we’re ok but I think we all know we can do so much more. But we also know what we have in Mooney. it will be a glorious day when decide to mean business & really take it serious.
The good news is bionic eyes should be available over the counter by the time we move on so I’ll be able to watch the team in ultra high def from the last row in the RC.
