If you consider SDAD thin skinned, count me in as thin skinned as wellAgree. Dji played really well last year, but I do like the looks of Tanner, especially if he can be a factor from 3. I looked up SDad's twitter and saw his tweet. LOL....I will say what I said then. Time will tell. Big time props for Dji if he has good success in conference play, and yes, I hope he does and will gladly admit I was wrong about him if he does. I already have admitted I was wrong about him last year. Geez, I have probably made hundreds of comments about our players on here. We all have. Can't get them all right and anything I said about Dji was no different than what plenty of us said about other players. Except those players did not have a thin skinned dad on our board.
Anyway, congrats again to Dji and I hope he has a successful season. He did things the right way here, stayed classy, was a great teammate, and I am pulling for him.
yeah some literal know-nothing ripping on my kid day in and day out and openly rooting for his failure for years, my skin would get pretty damn thin tooIf you consider SDAD thin skinned, count me in as thin skinned as well
we'll never know. But wouldn’t that have been a good thing?
we'll never know.
I've said before ... Tyler was a great players and of course we'd want him back last year, but I don't know that we'd have been a better team. it changes roles. same with Dji. love his game. but maybe Tanner brings other things. maybe Tanner playing more now is better for the long run. maybe Dji back sends Tanner to the portal. who knows. I'm fine with the way things worked out. and honestly ... with Spider glasses off ... it's probably better for Dji too. hearing a different voice can be a good thing. high major. more NIL. things worked out well for him too.
We don't know how hard and also don't know how much Dji wanted to stay at mid-level play? Unless SDad discussed it already. if so my bad. @SpiderDad75 wish and hope nothing but the best of a season for Dji!I have no idea how hard we tried to retain Dji, but that should have been a top priority day 1 in the off-season.
Yes definitely glad Dji so far doing well. Though probably will be long year for team unless coach performs some magic. Kenpom has LSU 8-10 in conference play but individually with 13 SEC losses.Glad to see him doing well there, but not surprised. But at the same time, probably going to be a long year for them. They were picked bottom three in the 16-team SEC by most prognosticators.
Who needs defense with this offense.Like Mooney those stats only focus on half of the game
We'd have to throw a shutout to have a chance. Maybe we get lucky in OT.Who needs defense with this offense.
yeah - I watched the 2nd half - they are going need to be better for sure against 5-0 Pitt on Sat at the Greenbrier. I can't quite figure out their PG Sears .. a scorer but seems out of control at times. Thanks, totally missed that LSU played last night.
Crazy game and Tiger comeback .. Dji probably played 45 minutes in triple OT - 6/14, 14 points 5 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals ..Dji and LSU are in triple OT against UCF on CBS Sports. Dji just scored a driving layup and LSU is currently up 100-97
Just give it time Gkiller, we can get back to those times quickly I'm afraid. Will say, I was also getting private messages at one point specifically not to put up a billboard (like I said, I admit to contributing $5 to the cause but otherwise I know nothing ) because Mooney was on hot seat and these insiders were saying he was done. Then Gilly saved his bacon supposedly. The PETITION GUY threatened me for responding to it before he wiped it all away. The irony of the PETITION GUY for firing Mooney being upset at me, because of someone else entirely, saying something bad about Mooney. I miss those days!

It is looking like Dji made a good decision. I think we would be better with him here, but still seem a piece or two away from being a good A10 team.
Though I am holding out hope that Tyne had a break out, and that one of our forwards can step up.
Can't be said any better IMO.At this point in time - hard to argue that DJI made a bad decision by leaving. Would UR be better if he stayed - I think many would agree with that. BUT - would it be better for DJI? He is currently a starter on an SEC team that is currently 6-1, and 51 in the NET. So they are clearly still in play for an at-large bid at this point. He is averaging nearly 10 points and 4 rebounds per game, while playing 32 minutes a night. Those are similar numbers he put up last year for the Spiders.
Time will tell where LSU lands as they enter tougher games in SEC play - but he has given himself a better opportunity at NCAA bid, a better shot at pro career overseas through LSU, and likely has gotten a better NIL Paycheck from a much larger pool of money at LSU. I can't blame a kid for any of that.
