I watched the first half, it was not competitive haha. I think the score was like 40 to 4 at one point. Dji was the last starter subbed out from what I saw, not sure what that indicates!
I thought he also got a block on one of the first few possessions. At least it looked like that was him.
I think sdad can make up a narrative based on a couple random poster's comments with the best of them. And I like that 😀.

I do recall 4700 saying he did not see dji going p6 & only transferring laterally. But I’d say rest of spiders board universally disputed that so it does read as shot at 4700 . Tho could be other outsiders. & perhaps it is a direct quote or just a generalization idk & who cares.
4700 also took offense when I said a good player like dji should be a pretty good player at LSU too. Why he wouldn’t be didn’t make sense to me. Lsu is only a mid tier p5 at best normally. Granted a mid tier p5 or p6 in past gets u in ncaa mix. But it’s not some huge jump imo. It’s kinda like Trap comment the other day about Michigan practices being better than Richmond games. Mediocre Michigan? 8-24 Michigan? Please. I’m accused of being negative sometimes but I think I actually have higher respect for Richmond level of ball, or at at least what we can be or should be.
As for dji & Sdad or anyone else imo - whatever u find motivation in or have chip on shoulder from is cool. Find what works for u. Plus it’s great for our little message board!

Yes, I love the sdad motivation. Miss having him and Dji on the Spiders. I do need to find the darn message board he posts on now, but too lazy to look b/c LSU appears to have several. I might even pony up the 5 bucks a day.
Dji with 9 points, 4 boards, and a couple of assists so far. Still 13+ minutes to go.

Dji looked like he belonged. Made one defensive error early but was locked in after that. That entire team is trigger happy and jacks up a lot of bad shots, but Dji was more than happy to wait until he could find a good shot. He’s still as efficient as he was here. Clearly a key component of this LSU team’s March Madness chances.
Dji continued right where he left off last year. Extreme efficiency and great defense. SEC is very, very strong this year. I think if LSU finishes above .500 in conference they make the tournament, but that could be tough.
Seems Dji's post grad year coach may be just a bit stronger than TB's

Sdad is a big brand blueblood guy. LSU isn't in basketball really, but their football & the SEC carry it a bit. But I cut him some slack bc it's been a tough fall. he needs LSU. Nothing to peacock about w the Cowboys and Yankees. We'll have to see on the Tarheels and his choice of the Lakers or Warriors whoever does better.
Congrats to Dji. No doubt McMahon is a better coach than Neptune.
Also, one can see that a 5th year player on a new team is much different than the usual first year player. Could see that last night with Dusan for the Spiders too.

Agree. Dji played really well last year, but I do like the looks of Tanner, especially if he can be a factor from 3. I looked up SDad's twitter and saw his tweet. LOL....I will say what I said then. Time will tell. Big time props for Dji if he has good success in conference play, and yes, I hope he does and will gladly admit I was wrong about him if he does. I already have admitted I was wrong about him last year. Geez, I have probably made hundreds of comments about our players on here. We all have. Can't get them all right and anything I said about Dji was no different than what plenty of us said about other players. Except those players did not have a thin skinned dad on our board.
Anyway, congrats again to Dji and I hope he has a successful season. He did things the right way here, stayed classy, was a great teammate, and I am pulling for him.
Love (most of) this .. while clearly I am a fan of SpiderDad and Dji a damn good Spider grad, I can't wait for us to squash the Cajun Tigers in the Sweet 16 ..
