CHOKE!!!!!!! #FIREMOONEY

I want him gone but I don't see how the players playing absolutely terrible for long stretches in this game is the coach's fault. He didn't force Gilyard to commit all those turnovers or for Yates to jack up an awful 3 with 15 seconds left.

He hasnt taught them... omg have you ever watched a well coached team play. He gas had these kids for two years and they still make the same mistakes. If this was one game and an unusual occurance, then we give the coach a pass but its been going on for years with the same ending.

The coach is bad, but the team is also bad. Do you think with a better coach we're close to a NCAA team this year? I think with a better coach we're maybe a 15 win team. I'm just so tired of players screwing up in key moments and their screwups being blamed on the coach. There are PLENTY of things to get on Mooney about...but by blaming him for things he hasn't done just hurts any case.

Ply, love you buddy, but who organized this roster? Mooney is both the chicken and the egg.

Thank you! You're criticizing Mooney for something that is his fault. That's all I want Mo, this is 100% valid criticism.

Typical Mooney team choke. The coach nor the players know what it takes (especially in critical moments) to win.

What realist would think that it is going to be demonstrably better next year? You have the same coach and the same players who have both proven that they do not know how to win close games.

Yes, I think that next year will be some better offensively. But, absent a new coach, what is going to make the defense and rebounding better?

A better offensive team will be able to outscore some of the weaker opponents for some wins. But, with no defense, no rebounding, & Mooney on the bench, a team that doesn't do what it takes to win will not be able to consistently beat decent opponents.

They say they are scheduling up, AND everybody else in conference is just as young as the Spiders. 17-15 type of year is staring us in the face, and, that might be generous. Of course, that would be considered a good year for Mooney.

I think a really good coach who had these players for two years, with that terrible schedule, in this crappy league, would have won a lot of games. If you havent figured out that the coach makes all the difference in CBB then you are very new to watching.

Don't know why JJ did not play more and Oddo did not play at all? The logic that we were better with other players instead does not measure up. We lost the game so there is no way the results would have been worse if these two seniors had more playing time. Think they should have started on Senior Night. Know Mooney does not have that mindset. It is the least you can do for players who chose Richmond and spent their careers here. Their families travel to be with them. Not only did we lose but we shortchanged two dedicated players.

I’ve given CM some relief in the past on this, I can understand why he would want to start his best five.

But seriously, we really had nothing to play for. If you want to at least look magnanimous, start your seniors. Even if it’s a token start.

I may have missed something but why wasn’t GG in when we needed a 3 at the end, and Cayo was?

I've tried very hard to like Cayo's game and tried to understand why so many of you like him. All I have seen is a one deminsional 6'7" back-to-the-basket non shooting forward who is a terrible free throw shooter and looks lost when the lane is closed. His one jump shot tonight was a line drive from 8 feet that never got higher than the rim. I sure hope he gets a new coach next year that can fix his game so that maybe he can live up to his hype.

I think you’re selling Nate a little short. Yes he isn’t a great shooter but he isn’t a pure back to basket guy. He’s one of the few guys on our team who can put the ball on the deck and get to the rim.

His D is also pretty solid which is not to be understated on an otherwise defensively challenged team.

In a Moody offense why was Cayo even given a schollie? He cannot shoot outside of 3 feet.
He plays defense ok but he is not made for our style of offense. He is one dimensional just like
Jake W who only is comfortable shooting from a standstill position and is smart player but lacks quickness.
We lack the proper type of depth because we have too many one dimensional types.

I think with Cayo, Golden, Gilyard, and Sherod there is promise. Also like the freshmen that got playing time. The only weak link is the coach which is so obvious it’s ridiculous. Anyone who can’t see this has their head in the sand. See how I cleaned that last part up?

I don't disagree with you about his defense but putting the ball on the deck is useless if that's all you can do and our opponents know it.

Marley, I think the Wagner transfer is going to start instead of Wojick next year and be an excellent addition.
