Davidson Wildcats - 7PM Wednesday

I'll go crazy. Mooney owns McKillop! who else in our conference wins at Belk as much as we do? I was wondering where the great McKillop was with a momentum changing time out when we pressed.

Burton is becoming an absolute stud, but I can't believe there isn't more praise for Grant. he was flat our terrific shooting and passing. his defense was fine too. their big guy is a load and yes he dominated Grace. Grant held his own there. you Grant complainers won't know what you had until he's gone. he's the best 5 we've ever had. he's not going to put up big rebound numbers. doesn't have the feet for it. Burton is so quick to the ball and long and bouncy he'll lead us in rebounding pretty much every game until he's done. and that's a good thing.

Burton's also reduces Cayo's board, but Cayo was great last night too. so was Francis. love how much Francis was creating like a PG. sometimes he's strictly a scoring guard.

Wilson has talent and will get better but he had a tough run early with 2 quick bad turnovers. I can't let him play through that. he's got to do better or Gilyard and Francis will have to keep playing 38+ until Goose is back.
Very well said, and yes, Grant was outstanding, and played a great all around game. Grace will be fine, and will still help us. We won't face bigs like we did last night too often, and I doubt too many back up bigs will keep those guys in check. I like how active Sal is. He keeps getting better. What we did well was take other stuff away even though they got some good looks inside. We aren't going to just win every individual battle every night. If we did that, we would win every game by 20 and 30 points. These other teams are good and have good players. It's give and take, and we had enough great players out there that made great plays to help us get us the win.

Not a Grant complainer. I thought he played great last night.

Meh on the "owns." Davidson has been to the A10 semifinals EVERY year since they joined the league. We have been once in that time. McKillop already has an A10 regular season championship. Mooney has none in 15 seasons. McKillop also has an A10 championship, while Mooney hasn't even made the final since Davidson joined the league. I'd rather have that sustained level of success than a head-to-head mismatch.

Dave Campo was 15-33 as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He was 5-1 against the Redskins. That didn't make him a superior coach. The Redskins finished ahead of the Cowboys in the standings all three years he was there.

While I mostly agree with this sentiment, it does seem like we struggle when we fail to establish our interior offense. Last night grant and Nate got it going and that made a big difference than relying on Blake who was off for much of the game and Jacob who wasn’t terribly productive on O.

I get concerned when the guys start jacking up a bunch of three balls and deep twos because we’re just too streaky at the moment to win that way.

I recorded it on Dish TV. So come to my house to watch or have a techie coach me to record and forward to you.

is that not allowed? his team lost to us again. his team didn't make plays down the stretch and didn't handle our press on back to back possessions. I keep reading how timeout usage is momentum changing and seems to be the sign of a good coach, yet he didn't call one when his team struggled.

he's a very good coach. I'm certainly not criticizing his resume. but he didn't outcoach Mooney. some posters here would consider that a low bar.
