Coaching incompetence

How many times has he done worse than expected, 15? Or did he match expectations any of those times?

Yeah, he hit right on the number a fair bit. 6 times. A couple of those were 10th & 12th place finishes so not like there's much room to be worse. But overall 9 times done worse than expected. Twice as likely to be worse than expected & just 25% probablility to actually exceed.

It begs the (age old) question of what are the expectations for the program and him at UR? Certainly this is not one of them, i.e., only beat pre-season finish expectations 25% of the time.

At one point I thought there was something about competing for championships or something like that, I'd have to check the archives. If that's the measure, CM has actually hit on that twice in the last 4-5 years. It's a pretty amorphous goal definition.

ok, just went through the 31 game logs. there were 2 games where our 3 bigs exceeded the total game minutes.
by 5 minutes in an overtime game against Rhode Island.
the next game, Walz and Beagle combined for 49 minutes. Soulis didn't play.
we lost both games. end of experiment.
