What a huge accomplishment..she will be going to Japan in a few weeks for the World Cup! Huge for Richmond Women's Soccer, Go Spiders!

Becca Wann (Chesterfield, Va.)
One of the two uncapped players on the roster, she made a late run to make the squad and adds tremendous athleticism (she plays soccer and basketball at Richmond) as well as a dangerous weapon on set plays due to her aerial dominance. She has scored 25 goals in two seasons for the Spiders.

that is super and hope she has a great experience. from a selfish point of view, hope she is back for the SPID season...lol

She misses the first 6..it will be tough since they start out with #4 Wake then VT in two weeks..

But the level of play she'll be getting overseas will certainly help her hit the ground running when she's back. It's a great mark for the program and recruiting.

She will be a better player when she comes back, and her teammates will have to become better without her on the pitch. It should also help recruiting in the future.

At least when we play WF their no. 1 scorer Katie Stengal will be playing beside Rebecca and not against us. Great honor for Becca and all Spiders!
