Good game in Philly with Lasalle trying to steal one that Rhody led the whole way.

Ugly start at costco. The more I watch RPI, the more I wonder where the talent is, outside of #21 Graham.

The ESPN announcers spent about the first 3 minutes talking about Wednesday night's game. Hopefully, the sheep watching at home had flashbacks.

We aren't going to catch Dayton or URI. So it probably doesn't hurt if they win.

We can catch RPi or Davidson. But I'd like Davidson to win the regular season.

However if Dayton holds on in the second half, and GW beats Davidson. Then I think we win all tiebreakers for 4th.

A seed would be in our own hands.

Costco Center is awfully quiet today. I thought they were always on their feet cheering non-stop? Losers.

Any chance Shaka runs off the younger Burgess after the season? They have a logjam at the 3 next year and he stinks.

Dayton's big fouls out with 5 minutes left and the camera shows Archie yelling "THATS SO EFFING STUPID!"

Come on Archie.

I wonder if I could find some Brooklyn ticket booklets on the cheap if I drove down to Costco right now.

I think Burgess sat out a year as a partial qualifer already, a year he can get back by graduating in 4 years, but as you mention, will be interesting to see how it plays out. I don't see him transferring after this year b/c that would be another year of sitting, but after his jr year if he gets that initial year back, he wouldn't have to sit out to transfer and go the grad school transfer route. but his brother was an iconic player for shaka so I doubt that happens unless it is truly voluntary.

You reckon the unranked rams will be favored AT Davidson next week? If they lose at Davidson, could the rams be "on the bubble"?

Mo, that's exactly what I have been thinking. Where are all these 3 & 4 stars? Who is rating these players? Graham is a very good college player and Lewis has potential, but the rest are iffy.

And Yes, Costco has Barclay tickets on sale for 50 cents on the dollar now. No room reservations though, because they were planning to sleep in back of their car. :)

If they lose out and lose their first A-10 game, they are in big trouble. Sadly, anything short of that and they will still get in. They will lose at Davidson, but they play Mason at home. Can't imagine them losing that one.

don't think they'll be favored but it doesn't mean they can't win. I didn't think a 6 player Dayton team would win at vcu today either though.

Since playing us in January, they have lost twice in OT, on a last second shot, and by two.

It seems that when we visited Broad St, we were contagious with "this close"itis and they caught it.

is smart/dumb, gone? they can get anthony grant back after he is shown the door at bama. heck of a week for rpi and that is not counting any street violence.

Yep. We shed the "itis" at the RC. They took it back to Broad Street. We're gonna go on their run right to the A10 championship. How funny would that be?

Lunardi was calling VDU a 5- or 6-seed, as they were down 9 points in the second half. He must have gotten his Bracketology degree at UNC.

UMass is showing its true colors. Not a very talented team and not very well-coached. Their place looked and sounded like a mausoleum vs. St. Joe's the other night. If we can get a win tonight and they lose today to Fordham, going up there Wednesday may feel more like a neutral site game for us.

Saint Louis might just shut down the season prior to their visit here next Saturday. Down 17 to Goo Moo in the 1st half. Yeesh.

Davidson, Rhody, Dayton tied for first, RPI in 4th, and Spiders tied with UMass for 5th.

I think its reasonable to think that RPI will likely lose at Davidson. That makes the UMass game huge for us. This could be one hell of a week if we take 4th place from RPI.

Mo that's one of the best posts this week

If we win on Wednesday, there is going to be one uptight fan base come Thursday night. Good lord, if we beat them twice and finish ahead of them in the A-10, things might spontaneously combust over at Ram nation.

winner of the UMass/UR game clinches no worse than 5th in the league standings. As noted, if it's UR that wins, they have possibility of moving into 4th place depending on other league results in that/following night's games.

If we can pull off the Umass win, I'm going to get a good 6 pack for next Thursday night. I see the Cats dropping about a dozen 3's on the sheep.

I agree UMass is not well coached but they have some talent. Wednesday is going to be a really tough game. If we go up to UMass and get the W, I think sends a strong message that we are a serious contender for the A-10 tourney.

Very tough game in Amherst but looking at their resume, they appear to have been playing better ball 6 weeks ago than they are currently.

I think they have good individual talent but not team talent. Probably the result of their coach, IMO. They've sort of had the exact same year we have, but in a different order. I agree that they were playing better earlier in the year than now. This one will be there for the taking.

I know Greg Burton will stutter and repeat himself for hours!! Lol. Greg did ok by us last week, I have to admit.

What happened to us last year when Ced went out - same thing for VCU when Weber went out . Not to hard to figure out!

The only game that Davidson has lost at home this year (a one point loss to St. Bona) was one they played without Gibbs. It was their second worst offensive showing of the year and played at a very slow pace.

I think they win Thursday with ease. Without Weber, Broad Street U is a very average team.

Give UMass some credit - since Carl Hobbs left GW -Derek Kellogg has the best dance stomping steps on the sidelines.
