Good news for all of us red sweater vest wearing old guys. All of our games in Brooklyn will start at 2:30pm or earlier. That means we can get a nice, early bird dinner special before turning in at 8.

Bracket with game times

I guess we should root against getting the 3 seed and the 9pm start.

Don't we still need to beat St. Louis before we know our schedule?

The statement is true if we are the 4 or 5 seed. The only difference between those is that the 5 seed plays in a 2:30 game on Thursday.

We do still have a chance at the 3 seed though, which would put us on the later side of the bracket...9pm Friday, 4PM Saturday.

Considering that as of this moment, the outcome of every single game tomorrow can change at least one seed, yes!

The only chance that we get a 3 seed is if there is a 3 way tie for 3rd - UR, URI & VCU. The 1st criteria for the tie breaker if there is a 3 way tie is to compare the record of each of the tied teams against the other 2 tied teams (not head to head, as a two way tie breaker would be). UR is 2-1 against URI & VCU. URI is 1-1 against UR & VCU. VCU is 1-2 against UR & URI. For this 3 way tie to occur, UR & VCU would need to both win Saturday & URI lose.

If URI wins, they're guaranteed the 3 no matter what else. In that scenario, we're the 4 either outright or by head-to-head tiebreaker, unless we lose and VCU wins, in which case we slip to the 5.

If URI loses, it gets a little more complicated. We could snatch the 3 if both we and VCU win because we'd have a three-way tiebreak. If VCU and URI both lose, we get the 4 no matter what we do, because we either lose the 3-4 tiebreak against URI with a win or win the 4-5 tiebreak against VCU with a loss. And again, the only way we can slip to the 5 is if we lose and VCU wins.

Going to the games with my 2yo son and my Dad, who's on Medicare.

Please win, Rhody. Please. You too, Spiders.

Rhody probably wins cause it's a home game for them. But they did lose at St. Joe's by one, so you never know.

They also only beat Fordham at home by 3, and only won by a single point @Fordham and @Duquesne. Anything is possible. They are 3 baskets away from being a mediocre team with a bunch of bad losses.

Yes, Thank you Rhody! You can have the GW team that has returned and has now scored 50 in the first half. We'll take RPI.

Not that it matters, but La Salle is doubling up Dayton in the 1st half. Dayton only 9 points in first 15 minutes. Ugly game with ugly uniforms.

It matters if we don't want to see La Salle. Dayton and Davidson winning means we can't see La Salle until the final.

I would love to see La Salle or URI more than Dayton, Davidson or VCU. I think we would be favored against anyone except Dayton, Davidson or VCU.

Well at this point I believe we definitely get VCU before the final, and only get URI in the final. Same with Dayton and Davidson, we just don't know which one yet. Same with the two Philly teams, one will be 9 one will be 10 (and not an opponent until the final). Both UMass and GW won't be until the final either, I believe.

Urmite, I get the strong feeling that almost any team in the A-10 can beat anyone else on a neutral floor. Some are definitely better than others, but not that much better. Especially with all the short benches and playing 3 or 4 games in as many days. This tourney is going to be a wild one.

True anybody in the conference can win a game, a few would be pressed to win 5. But looking at the conference sometimes it looks like Team Rock, Team Paper, and Team Scissors. Not always about who is better but how teams match up.

If you are Scissors, you hope the other two play each other first.
