Albany v Elon now on CBS college sports

Looks like a half empty stadium in Newark. Rocco hasnt exactly lit the place up with excitement.

We won't be running successfully on the Hens. They do a lot of holding in their secondary trying to defend receivers.Their QBs are not ready for prime time.

Definitely didn't see the vision of a full stadium with #1 in town and a key conference matchup.

I'm concerned about the QB running the ball on us, particularly after last Saturday.

Digression but future schedule impact. For CAA,2018 schedules will flip flop for 2019.Elon will not schedule either SBU or UA in 2018 as well as 2019,at a minimum.

“ELON — After today’s game, Elon and Albany won’t meet again in Colonial Athletic Association football until 2020, or perhaps longer.

League officials have said neither Albany nor Stony Brook will be on Elon’s conference schedule for next season, a slate which has yet to be announced. That means 2019, a mirror of the 2018 CAA schedule with flip-flopped home and road assignments, also will be off the docket for those teams.

It’s common sense planning by the league, done to steer a path that avoids the state of New York’s travel restrictions to North Carolina.

The ban, New York’s response to controversial N.C. House Bill 2 and its replacement, HB142, prohibits state-funded travel to North Carolina that’s not essential to public health matters or law enforcement.

CAA commissioner Joe D’Antonio and associate commissioner Brian Gordon said the conference is finalizing work on what’s termed a new “four-year matrix,” consisting of the 2018-2021 conference schedules for all 12 football teams in the league.”
