VMI took apart a pretty good Mercer team today, 45-7. They are the real deal.

Their coach has really built a program. Their top WR, RB and defender were out. VMI reloaded. They ran for 306 yards. VMI dominated time of possession. About 20 of Mercer`s players are FBS transfers. At this point, VMI is as good as any FCS program in the state.

Coach Wachenheim is 59. IMHO, he is not going anywhere. Players are coming to VMI to play for him.
