Our official ranking in the first ever NET rankings which replace the RPI as the NCAA's rankings system.

Seems generous to me, but there are clearly problems with this system since Ohio State is #1 and Kentucky is # 61!

Aren’t you selling us short? I thought we were #263?
And Duquesne #40 Kentucky #61 does seem...odd..

Too early for credence just looking at those numbers. I would say 2011's fav site Kenpom gives a better representation of teams rankings.

The question is not how accurate the NET is, the question how much weight will it be given?

But I do expect wild swings over the next 6 weeks...

It is the criteria they use for sorting the games on each team's schedule into quadrants, so it will be given a lot of weight.
I also expect wild swings - not enough data yet.

I know that is what they have stated.
But I have a tendency not to repeat future actions of regulatory bodies as fact until after they happen the first time.
Too many people tend to shoot the messenger if it doesn’t happen.:)

#245 in the third daily NET...

it might be good idea to keep an eye on this new system, might be important next year...
