Don't forget we should have VMI on the schedule as well...third year of a 5-game series at the RC where we're paying them close to half a million dollars.

we also owe Belmont an away game. So now 4 known games. I assume we are done with Bucknell we owed them 1 game as part of a 2 for 1 series supposedly (after skipping it in 23-24). Unless we did a 5 for 1 that spiderstudent17 would have turned down.

Personally I don't know why we didn't do a H&H with JMU instead of ODU. While ODU can potentially bounce back JMU is currently better program and more similar to us as school, and have a new arena.

ODU is the Virginia school that I never really cared about playing. They’re like the Charlotte of Virginia. Probably should be better than they are every year, the school itself is average, just feels like a place and program that exists but not much else. Don’t really like the area, either. But I guess I’ll be excited to lose to them by 12 at home?

Why not Liberty? They have been very good the last few years. I thought we had Rob Jones connection there - but I just looked on their website and he is not listed? Where did he go?

He was named head coach at D-II Cedarville before last season.

We continue to strive to be the least interesting program in the country. Before long only the handful of posters on this board will know or care that Moon is stealing $1.5 mil per year and has compiled most losses in our history. And that's how the Triumvirate likes it.

TV commentators frequently reference Moon as the winningest coach in Richmond history. Do we expect them to also reference losing coach - no? They’re just not going to state that. But it is a fact as you pointed out.

Their job is to get eyeballs, of course they will try to build it up.

Isn't Cedarville where McGeehan is going because he couldn't bring in Duggan?

Any chance we see Radford or Columbia on the schedule in the near future with the Spider connection?

Possible. Or Iona. We actually have more history w them. Tho Radford Columbia presumably buy games. Minus that we love giving up away games to low majors.

Iona without Pitino should be just as much a buy game as Radford or Columbia.
All three of these teams, mostly because of the coaching connection, not their power rankings, would be more interesting games than many of the home opponents Richmond fans suffered through last season...

I hope the schedule maker(s) are working to put together a home schedule that respects the loyal Spiders' fans, the players and the history of our program.

Go Spiders!

mostly? I'd say entirely. nothing special about any of those teams outside of the alumni connections.

Just don't play Radford as a Christmas getaway game in DC.

We are due to be back at that arena. Played HP there once too. Was at both games remarkably. The Radford one of course almost kept us out of NCAA. We don't know for sure, I think in but if we were out that was the game to pinpoint. I think the HP game my friend & i made up exactly half of the Spids fans in attendance. Not counting player parents who where there to take their son back home for Xmas. Getaway game!

Cozy. Anacostia. Close to overpriced & overrated National Harbor. But I liked it because while Xmas getaway for the Spids it was also Xmas pickup & getaway for GK's mom.

Here is an interesting link highlighting MTE's already determined for next season. Lot of A10 teams in the events.

St. Joes - Vegas Players Era event
Bonnies - Fort Myers Tip Off
Loyola, St. Louis - Acrisure Series California
VCU - Battle for Atlantis
Dayton - ESPN Event - Florida

6 teams already locked in. Anyone know if Randolph-Macon is hosting an MTE this year?

When was the last time UVa was on our schedule, 50 years ago? Why won't they play us, they play every other D1 in Virginia.
