Yes, we have a losing record but there seems to be more momentum and purpose in our program than any time in the last 10 years. Excited to see what happens going forward, especially if the university increases institutional support, as has been reported. We need to start being a regular in the NCAA tournament.
GW wins 9–1, and 3-seed Dayton goes home.
will have worn out a number of arms.Yes, loser is out.
And then GW and winner play at 7 tonight and loser of that one is out as well. Survivor of that one gets the loser of tomorrow morning's UR/VCU game.
I agree. Still think we need to find a way to attract more local talent. I know it's difficult with limited scholarships and high tuition, but there is some awesome high school baseball played in Richmond. Lots of D1 talent. Mills Godwin alone has a couple kids going to W/M, one to VCU, and one to Alabama. Real opportunity for UR to grow the program locally and keep some kids at home. Find a way to make the money work. look for single parent householdsProblem is that none of the baseball talent in Tuckahoe, Glen Allen, Midlo, etc. will qualify for that. Baseball is becoming a rich kid's sport, unfortunately.
Time to change strategy? 6–0.Let's see what Aoki's strategy is with pitchers today. Gotta think he's doing this to try to keep the game close.
