2024–25 schedule

Hardt claims we thought we had two contracts set and then they didn't come in, so those two games are now not happening but says the schedule will be announced in a few more days. "It's definitely been much more difficult to find the right opponents."

Says there are basically no P4 games to be had.

Thanks for update. & that's ok re: P4, that just means we have ton of Big East games!...right?

Also, yeah hard to get those games NOW, but plenty of other teams at our level are playing them.

Oh lord this could be bad. Goodbye Auburn? Always good to rely on unsigned contracts.

2024–25 schedule

Just for fun, I've put together a list of P5 teams that still have openings in their OOC schedules. Pulled this from multiple sources that don't always match up 100%, so this may not be perfect, but it's close. The list is not huge.

Arkansas (1)
Auburn (1)
Baylor (1)
Florida State (1)
Mississippi State (1)
NC State (2)
Oklahoma (1)
Oklahoma State (1)
Oregon (2)
Penn State (1)
UConn (1)
USC (3)
Vanderbilt (2)
Excellent research. So, let's go play at Oklahoma, take a 90 minute bus ride to Okla St., and then play them 2 days later.

About Tim Walz

Don't believe withdrawing was necessarily bad. Not leaving 2500 troops at Bagram as recommended by military, then leaving billions of dollars of equipment for use by our enemies was a brain dead decision. The Administration claimed our withdrawal was a success. We can see and reason. How stupid do they think we are?

Was not opposed to leaving, but the execution was an embarrassing disaster. So flacid it encouraged adventuresome behavior by our enemies. See Ukraine. See October 7.

See Pelosi thinks Biden should be on Rushmore, trying to make amends for shiving him. The least intelligent President in decades. As Obama famously said, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to F up anything." Why do you think he supported Hillary in 2016 rather than his wingman for 8 years?

The Biden Doctrine

It gets worse.

"In addition to closing Bagram first, there are three additional questions about Biden’s competence. The first is the volume of US military equipment that has been left behind for the Taliban, including aircraft, hundreds of military Humvees and tens of thousands of rifles, rockets and night vision goggles. The second is whether Biden ignored intelligence estimates suggesting the Taliban could recapture power on a far more rapid timeline than the six to 18 months the White House was saying. The third is Biden’s failure to consult fully with Nato allies about the speed and logistics of the pull out. On all three, the decision ultimately boils down to the president."

And, this guy is a Biden supporter. With friends like the Financial Times, who needs enemies, ...like the Taliban.
This is a short list of every thing done wrong by Biden in Afghanistan. Don't forget, Biden should have never abandoned Bagram airbase. It allowed us to have a closer check on the Taliban, Afghanistan, China, Russia and Iran. Now China is effectively running Bagram. Biden placed the evacuation in the hands of the State Department and depended on the Taliban for security.

About Tim Walz

The lost lives were unfortunate, of course. Impossible to stop a terrorist attack of that nature.
This was discussed in the Biden Doctrine thread. They should have never abandoned Bagram airbase. It allowed us to have a closer check on the Taliban, Afghanistan, China, Russia and Iran. Now China is effectively running Bagram. Biden placed the evacuation in the hands of the State Department and depended on the Taliban for security.

Next year

Agree about Tyne. He came in as true frosh (one that re-classed, or maybe he had already re-classed and then un-classed), but either way was a freshman that showed some very good things, fearless, and can use his quickness to cause a lot of problems. I am optimistic he can take that next step and knock down 3's - but yes that is on him to prove and take next step. I like our guard room. I think Hunt if fairly proven (still TBD if can be that alpha scorer) and between the other 3 I think really good chance two more step forward to be consistent scorers and players.
