I would put Kevin Anderson as #1 and Harper #2. Burton is a little too high for me but still top 10. I would put Golden in top 5 given all the all-a10 accolades received and records broken (even if in a stretch of 5 full seasons playing). King at #8 is interesting but am okay with. It’s hard to put someone who was only here for 1 year in the top 10, but the impact he made last year was incredible and he won A10 POY for UR’s 3rd time in history. If King was here all 4 years, I think an argument could be made that he would’ve ended up #1.

I have expectations of winning.

You can misinterpret it as negativity over low preseason wins expectations, couch it any way you want. I don't care. But I expect yearly, to be a program that expects 20 wins as a baseline, with spikes from there. 2/3 wins. Not 55%. 66% baseline.

If we lose to W&M ever, or Bucknell given the current state of their program compared to ours, something is wrong. Even having doubts about winning these games or listing them as potential pitfalls, is something that I refuse to do. If our program can't convince outsiders that we can win these games, either we are terrible at marketing ourselves (we are) or we are sandbagging our program for some unknown reason (to outperform expectations? No idea why they'd go this route publicly.) Or people think we legitimately don't have the talent to do it, which should never be the case, given our program resources.

I think we should win virtually every OOC game, Auburn excepted.

Cedric Lindsay IMO is the most unsung Spider of the Mooney era. In-between KA2 and KA3 seems to have been forgotten by many. People forget we were in the NCAA conversation before he blew out both knees and still played scoring over 20+ at VCU during that game and our season predictably fell apart from there. All time GOAT that does not get nearly enough credit for what he did. I still get sad thinking how that season unfolded.

Loved Ced. Great player and agree his injury was crushing. He always seemed to make clutch shots and big plays for us.

Always hard to do these top lists because if you want to add someone, who do you take off? I was looking for Nate on there, and would have him over Kevin Smith.

I agree with you - I would have moved up Gonzo and Geriot.

I may have removed Garrett and Quinn, and maybe add someone like Butler - which I think was Mooney's first recruit and jack of all trades for those back to back NCAA teams. I noticed they mention Bucknor, which if mentioned cross-over players - I might add Steenberge, who I think was an All-A10 player as well as Mooney transitioned systems. But again - very nitpicky at that point.

That would certainly be something to go from winning the A10 regular season title to 4 games under .500 in conference the next season 😵‍💫

great! All we have to do is go 12-1 (or 11-1, thanks MTE!) vs our cream puff OOC and then coast to the finish line.

KenPom’s 2025 preseason rankings are out and he has us at #139, 11th in the A-10, and a record of 14–14, 7–11. Gulf Coast Showcase games omitted since opponents are unknown.

Preseason favorite Lafayette is really crapping the bed. And while you'd think preseason #2 Holy Cross sneaking by preseason #3 Fordham would be a reasonable outcome, Fordham is now 0–7 on the season.

As frustrated as we are with what the CAA has become (and is continuing to become with UD heading out the door), this move to the Patriot really only seems to stand a chance of panning out if W&M and 'Nova follow. 'Nova has more flexibility with football-only, but W&M moving all sports out of the CAA seems like a higher bar.

We've heard talk of the Patriot stepping up commitments recently, but even in good years they might have one decent (not at-large worthy) team, and this year they apparently have none. Show me the "money".
