Only got to watch part of the second quarter. Nice to see them go on a run in the third and take control. Rough shooting night, but they got to the line enough to overcome it.

They’re not all going to be pretty, but they still got the job done to keep things rolling.

Big Sky and MVC have distinct advantages. Talented player in that area, wants to play within a reasonable distance of home, there are few BCS options. In contrast, same kid on East Coast has multiple BCS options. They are playing with a talent level hard to match in the East.

To compound matters, the CAA decided to become a bloated tick rather than sticking with what brought them respect. Given our SOS, totally out of our control of course, disappointed, but not surprised, Spiders were not a top 8 seed. Should be a wake up call to our CAA Commissioner (soon to be our former Commissioner. GOOD!). Too late though, the error has already been made.

1-0 is the right team mantra. That said, believe as a fan our Spiders have excellent chance of winning next two.

I'm no expert on circadian rhythms, but I've flown to the West Coast enough times to know that the team could really benefit from an extra day of recuperation before the game. That might have made a difference with the Sacramento State game a couple of years ago. So far the Spiders are 0 for 2 out West. Get some extra rest this time! (This unsolicited advice, of course, assumes a win over Lehigh, a team that shouldn't be taken lightly based on our playoff history with them.)

App State was up four and holding for the last shot of the half, but lost it into the backcourt. Spiders immediately fouled with 5 seconds to go and hit both, then Doogan guarding the inbounder tips it and gets the steal, then fouled on the shot with 0.3 left and hits both to tie it up.

App State with only 2 point over the final 7 minutes of the half, but UR struggled to make up ground until that final flurry.

Ladies pull even at 30 at the half.

Defense and foul shooting. Cold as ice from three with 1 of 13. 9 of 25 from field.
Last FG 7:20 of 2nd quarter.

AD still trying to get used to the new spell check they acquired. Slowing things down a bit.

Watching the women for their past two games. Good off-ball movement and passing on offense. Lots of steals and blocks and defense. Not shooting well yet tonight though.

Also, a legitimately deep bench. Sometimes subbing an entire new lineup in at once. 11 players averaging 10+ minutes per game.

Don't take Lehigh lightly. They beat us back in 1998 by a single point, 24-23, in a first round playoff game at City Stadium.

Email sent at 330. Feels like longer than it should have taken. I know we expected a bye but would have thought we’d have all the info ready to go (ie we would have been prepared a week or two ago given how the season was shaping up).

I’m still concerned about the scheduling but if true that he fought the CAA additions and used this as the place to affirm that this is why we needed to move to the PL, that’s all I needed to hear.

Let’s see if future OOC reflects it. I think we can aspire to more than just making the playoffs.
