I thought I remembered Yates came here with a reputation as a good 3 point shooter, but he’s been awful from 3 this year. I looked up the stats and he shot 38% from 3 last year in 17 minutes per game. This year he’s at 27% with 16 minutes per game. That’s quite a drop with a very similar usage rate. Does anyone who has been to practices have any idea if his good shooting last year was a fluke? It seems like most of the shots he takes in games are good, open shots, but he can’t buy a bucket.

I'm just glad Noah Yates has been better than our previous grad transfers. I don't think I could have taken another Madrid-Andrews or Abakah
Overheard on SpiderSportsline we could have an extra schollie if NY isnt ruled eligible for next year. Anyone know or have a guess what the likelihood hes coming back next year ?
Lets hope Nathan Davis uses the slot for his Graduate Student Center.
I have heard the likelihood is very slim that Yates will be back next season - and based on my information, its not because of eligibility concerns, but rather he has not been what the staff expected and with the addition of Francis next season, and then add in Sherod, Wojcik, and Gilyard - Yates would likely not play much at all. So it would be best to not re-new his scholarship and go out and get someone else.
