OK State just beat Arkansas, 70–56, to stay unbeaten. Fairfield also beat Arkansas by 14 in their season opener, so hopefully all of this transitive stuff works out and we win by ~20 tomorrow. 
Tomorrow is game 1 of the gauntlet with our OOC schedule. Will need to play a complete game to beat OK State. Would be another solid resume building win.

The defensive battle continues, as it’s 23–22 Cowgirls at the half. Ullstrom finally broke the seal with a three and a layup in the final few minutes, but overall the Spiders are having a rough time shooting.
6–0 personal run by Doogan opens up a 5-point Spiders lead, but the Cowgirls get a three off an offensive rebound to close back to 30–28 at the media timeout.
Like fact we have different heroines every game. Enjoyable bunch to watch

Nope. Bought the BallerTV package. Believe it or not, it was MUCH worse than FloSports. No announcers. You could hear the tripod creak everytime they moved from one side of the court to the other. And they literally completely missed the action multiple times for an entire possession. Scoreboard on the screen only showed up near halftime and never updated. Did not show time remaining in the game either. I forgive them only because we got the victory!
Here's hoping there will be other options for the Tennessee and Alabama games.
Ballertv was the absolute worst broadcast in history!
glad I did not donate my money to them. listened on Ok St radio, I thought was very fair even if a homer. very complimentary to Coach and team. Felt this was like playing a March game and both teams would benefit from it.
Wish I had listened to their broadcast. I plan to ask BallerTV for a refund. It was a miserable broadcast.
Would have given the men a slightly better chance to be 8-0 given their crappy schedule. But the ladies have done it with multiple solid wins and leaving no doubt about their easier games.
Athletic Department should have already started a full court press to market these games to the overall university community and Richmond area at large. We need an athletic department with a fire in the belly. No creativity.
They gave me a 50% refund. Plus 20% off the next tourny. Not sure if I'm willing to pay for it though. (Secretly I probably will because I don't want to miss this team. Here's hoping for a better TV coverage option 🍻)
I asked for the next one to be free so they'd have a chance to prove themselves. They offered 20%, and I told them if they made it 50% off the next one I might give it a try. They said they'd get back to me with that offer in an email. We'll see.

Speaking of "marketing press", there are millions of people who have abandoned Twitter and migrated to other platforms, I'm in the process of doing so and am spending most of my social media time on Bluesky. So I sent an email to someone involved in communications in the athletic department suggesting that they post on Bluesky in addition to X. Crickets - no response. JOC got a similar email and said he'd look into it. The Orioles got a similar email and thanked me for supporting the O's and said they would look into it. Unfortunately I'm not surprised at the lack of response by our AD.
They probably tried to, misspelled Bluesky, and since they couldn't find it they gave up.
To his credit John O'Connor has always been very responsive. He's not going to end up on Bluesky though.
Entirely possible. The Athletic posts there regularly and I'm following several Oriole-adjacent posters. But if you've already created the graphics etc how much more effort does it take to post on an additional site? But that was only part of my point. The rest regards the lack of response from our comms folks.
Agreed. In responses I've received, he seems frustrated with the program but is stuck supporting it.
Just to clarify, I'm referring to Mooney and the men's program. This thread is about the women afterall. I have no idea how he feels about the women's program. I would guess Aaron is a lot easier to deal with, and I get the feeling Aaron would like to use the media to promote the program. Quite a concept.
