Get ready for meeting #3 with the Hawks, as they survive 53–50 as the Rams aren't able to get anything in the final 8 seconds but a desperation three that airballed.

Props to Duquesne. Extremely well coached and would be proud if those girls were representing us. Best game played against us IMO outside of the three SEC teams all season.

I thought our girls were very composed and fought exceptionally hard just like they have for two+ seasons now. Very proud of them. A little surprised it took us so long to at least bracket Browne in the post. Alyssa played incredibly today as she has all season.

Looking forward to the matchup tomorrow. Hope Sweeney's knee is ok. It sure looks like an injury that could swell up significantly overnight. Hope that's not the case. Rachel wearing a sleeve also today. Hope she's ok as well. We're gonna need everyone tomorrow+.

Just watched the press conference.... incredibly proud to be represented by our current staff and players. Duquesne's coach pretty angry about the non-foul call.... which is understandable.... I think we would've been equally furious. They played extremely well today and likely deserved better aside from the fact that I'm happy we're moving on.

I don't have a lot of sympathy over the no-call. In the fourth quarter, Duquesne had to foul us intentionally five times in a row at the end to get into the bonus. The officials let stuff go that looked like fouls throughout the game and this was just another of those instances. It was important to DU's chances for an upset but not inconsistent with how the game was called throughout.

We've got one of the best one's in the country?
Who is that? Not Doolen, she's 6-2 and shoots a ton of 3s. I don't consider her a big. I'm talking about a big, physical, 6-4 or 6-5 presence in the middle, something we don't have. Maybe it doesn't fit our system, but look at the elite teams, and almost every single one of them has one.

Let us know how many good and physical 6’5” centers there are out there for us to recruit.

Removing the height requirement, because for anyone that follows the sport, we know that height itself isn't gonna be the main qualifier in the conversation that we think we're having...

But, just off the top of my head.... Strong, Iriafen, Betts, Kitts, Sedona Prince, Crooks and a couple of the Texas bigs? I don't really want to entertain this too seriously, but just as general background on the answer to the question, obviously..... none.

We got the best one we ever could. She's phenomenal.... an incredible representative for our program..... A-10 player of the year.... and could play for any top program. She's our engine, and i'm so proud of her and thrilled to have her.

I should have put the sarcasm marker in my reply. I agree with you that we have 2 phenomenal players playing the 4 and 5 spot, who are both top in the country. I was responding to Wood who was saying for us to get a talented, physical, 6’5” big in women’s hoops, which is very hard to find.

No... I know, lol. I was similarly responding.

Interesting the Duquesne coach said Meg McConnell turned down 6 figure NIL offers to stay at Duquesne this year. NIL is big money for the ladies now too.

So we should just not look?
No, no for sure.... we should recruit the best available players. I think the point you're missing is that we very much did that. In fact, Maggie was a MASSIVE get for us.

The names i mentioned are unattainable for us. They're a needle in a haystack.

Meanwhile, our 5 is the conference player of the year. And our conference is the 6th to 8th best conference in the country give or take a couple of percentage points. Think about that for a second... and what you suggested in your first two posts. That's what we were addressing.

Wow... that's crazy... but not entirely surprised if that money is out there.... especially with her likely connections and the level of impact she's had.
