PITTSBURGH - Duquesne running back A.J. Hines was one of 17 players named to the STATS FCS Freshman Player of the Year Watch List released Tuesday.
Hines, who has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week six times this season, currently ranks sixth nationally in rushing yards per game at 116.7. The Wilson, N.C. native, who has topped the 100-yard mark four times, has six rushing touchdowns.
