Am I the only one who is disappointed that the weeknight special promotions have apparently increased from $5 to $10? That is a 100% price increase. Granted, it is not that much money for a single ticket, but when you add it up for families, that could become a significant difference for the casual fan that we so often discuss here.

I don't think it will impact the decision for a family to come out for an evening. $10 is still a super steal of a deal.

$5 dollars is undervaluing our tickets, in my opinion. It kind of feels like begging people to come to our games. Agree with Mr. Spider, I don't think that cuts down on people's decision to attend games. Plus, if we are good, like we expect to be, it shouldn't be an issue getting butts in the seats.

Families can join the kids club for $10 per kid and get free tickets to games (incl. the opener).

The product may or may not be undervalued (and may or may not have been for years), but for people still paying their loans back, saving for a house, retirement, or who were economically affected by the pandemic, doubling a discretionary expense may mean that instead of a few games a year (and all the accompanying concessions and Spider apparel) they might make it to one or two games instead. And/or spend less while they are there.

I have several friends with kids who are either too old for the kids club or whose schedules are too erratic to join. Combined with concerns about the pandemic, they are not likely to be in the Robins Center this year even though it has previously been a big part of their family activities. They just don't have the money to spend $40 or $50 to get in the door for 2 hours when two years ago it was only $20 or $25.

It is not like the cost of anything else, particularly entertainment, has doubled in two years.

$10 is what the cost should have always been in my opinion. It is a college basketball game for heaven’s sake and it still is the best deal around. I know it cost me $5 to go to my own daughter’s high school field hockey games a few years ago. As others have pointed out, there is the Kid’s club which is a great value for young families.

Plus, this year they sold more season tickets so there simply are less available seats and simple economics tells you that the cost goes up in that situation.
