VCU over Loyola

I watched the whole game. Great game and happy to see VCU pull it out. UR basketball is so far removed from this level of play, the speed of VCU, the physicality of Loyola and the aggressiveness and intensity of both teams. Loyola was hitting the o boards for extra shots and VCU couldn’t stop them. But VCU would counter by trying to knock the rebound to the perimeter….much like Hal Nunnally suggested to JB, keep the ball in play. No one on either team ran back down the court after one shot.
What the heck is our administration doing supporting a swirling down the sewer of a men’s bb program? It’s maddening to watch bb this time of year and know from the last day of each season come the next year you still won’t have a dog in the fight.

I know that most will laugh at me.... since i'm a bit late to the party in this respect, but:

I can honestly say that i'm pretty deflated at this point..... because this is the first year where I legitimately don't feel like there's an arc up for next year and i don't see how we get tangibly better.

We would get better if we brought in Pitino or someone who could immediately bring in a bunch of new talent. Alas, we have no one like that.

With the transfer portal being how it is that turn-around would be SO damn fast too. Such a shame.

I hate to admit that I find myself rooting for VCU nowadays. Odom is a likeable guy and I don't see Pav featured prominently anymore? Is Pav still with us?
