VCU In Game (Late)

So just some notes from this VCU fan.
1) Another classic. I been going to these games ever since I started following VCU before attending and now as a alum. Truly another classic for the rivalry.
2) People have been ripping Mo for his dunk but no one mentions the Spiders doing that up 10 at the buzzer last year at Siegel. Hypocritical much?
3) The Mooney snub was quite unnecessary but that's the heat of the rivalry sometimes. I'm shocked we always shook hands after VCU-odu games. Those got nasty.
4) I still remain confused how that arena is not full for games. You all have a decent team and the renovated Robins is very nice. I been saying it since the first year I went to it (Which was the last time we won at it until today). The acoustics for that arena are something special. I been saying for awhile I wish we had the same acoustics for our sell outs at Siegel.
5) Weird bounces, strange calls, moments of brilliance,etc always makes this rivalry interesting.

I have no issue with the dunk at the end. We should have stopped him if we didn't want him to dunk it. Wade was acting like a toolbag looking right in Mooney's face at the end fo the game. If he wanted a handshake that badly, he wouldn't have shown up his opponent like that. Reap what you sow.
As to #4, for the love of GOD, please stop. We get it. We ALL get it. VCU sells out EVERY ****1NG GAME. Congratulations. Most teams DO NOT SELL OUT EVERY GAME. You have 7,000 seats and 30,000 students. We have 7,000 seats and 3,000 students. You have exponentially more alumni than we do. So good on you. But stop making it seem like we only ever show up when we play you. We sell out 4 or 5 times every year. Our fans are loud, passionate and involved. Our fanbase is strong, despite not having the numbers that you have.
We can't keep these VDU roaches out of our stadium, out of our season ticket holder seats or off our basketball forum. Geez, they are just like the damn North Koreans!!
VDU made a 3 pointer at the Buzzer at Costco last year, I was there. So he is FOS also.
Great game spider fans. In all honesty this game could've gone either way. You have a good team that have lights out shooters.
It was full. It will probably be full on Saturday for Davidson (it is the Baby Race after all). It will be full for most of the weekend dates. Worry about your own attendance, and we'll worry about ours. Almost all of the empty seats were probably in the terraces, anyway.
As an aside, I would like to thank the students for showing up today. They were loud, and they brought it for the most part.

Great atmosphere and great college basketball game. We got a couple stops and made more free throws in OT. Could have gone either way.

The Mo dunk at the end wasn't a big deal and the handshake 'snub' wasn't a big deal. It was a great game in a great environment and we lost because of a few bounces. It sucks but we need to move on and beat Davidson next Saturday.
That was a great college basketball game in a great environment.
This year's version of the Spiders has an elite offense and a really crappy defense. They need to get on a roll to hope some postseason play can be in rage cards. At least we get RPI again at their place

Nope, simply drove back to the comfy confines of my home in Studley, watched the game again on my DVR all happy knowing that my team was in first place all alone. Oh, and by the way, many thanks to the UR season ticket holder who gave me access to his account to buy the 6 tickets that I needed.
This VCU alum of 2011 will be watching the football games on his big screen while glancing at the snow. And dreading all the work I have waiting at my office Monday haha. Appreciate the concern though. See you in a few weeks! Stay safe on the roads!
Players play hard ... Coach loses game by not being prepared ..... Could have bigger rotation but does not give time in big lead games ,,,,,I think Taylor is better from the bench,, not shaking coach hand is bad move... Not coach wade that did nt call time out when time out is needed...Coach let players down and I think they would want to start Wood,,, I think we do not make NIT or NCAA ..
