My exact thoughtWhy would TA settle for a mid range shot when he could've drove to the basket
who knew anyone wouldFat boy with the horns has a baby on his lap. Who knew he could reproduce?
VDU made many mental errors also, however we were out coached the last 3 minutes of Reg and OT. Wade telling them to foul Davis over and over again.I don't want to ever hear again, about how selective UR Is, fact is that VCU players were more intelligent than UR players. We made numerous mental errors, and I don't dare venture the score at the Siegel Center. And, no, I still don't want Trey at the foul line to end a game, so why would you play to allow that?
Just saw this on YouTube. Geez. Come on Mooney.
Sure there is a lot behind that. People will find out the kind of POS Wade is soon.
With you Homer, another big loss for MooneyEntertaining game throughout, but in the end the Spiders turned a W into a loss during winning time (last 4 minutes and OT). No need to list the details, everyone else is nailing it. Happened very much like it normally does. Makes me sad and frustrated to see the same issues time and time again!
We will lose 6 to 8 more games, does that get us in?Will we make the NIT?
Starting DT over MW was just Mooney's first stupid call of the day, but he continued.Might just be a coincidence since we only have two prior starts by MW to judge, but he certainly lit it up when he was starting as opposed to today coming off the bench. I guess we got our answer pretty quickly upon DT's return whether MW would be rewarded with a start.

I like Wade's fire. I agree with the earlier post that he looks somewhat evil when he's angry haha, but I love his passion. I thought SS should've taken the opportunity to get T'd up a few times while here, probably would've helped at times. We started playing better after Wade got that warning.
What a game! Finally got over the RC hump! I love Coach Wade. It was great to win with you guys shooting better than usual from the line and with your team healthy. Shows our mental toughness. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way. See y'all again soon.
He doesn't play a match up zone, although it looked like it a couple of times today (very badly played I might add) He plays a switching man to man. The problem is a good team will use that to get match ups we can't defend. Their guards could drive on our forwards/center.. In a Match up zone the big men (certainly the Center) will tend to stay in the backHaving watched this series since its beginning in the mid-'70s, it's the same refrain over and over...with few exceptions. VCU kids have higher basketball IQs, and are physically stronger and mentally tougher. Ironically, our best stretch versus VCU was at the very beginning, when Kevin Eastman, Jeff Butler and Co. carried us to victory in the first 5 games of the series. Since then, we win 1, they win 2, we win 1, etc., etc. And, like many others on this forum, I'm getting really tired of Mooney's rigid adherence to his formula (shoot 3's, play match up zone, don't worry about rebounds, keep TO's to a minimum), no matter the personnel he has, no matter the game situation, no matter the competition. He's the most underwhelming $1.2 million man I've ever seen.
Yes, you are correct. Mooney established that trend early on, and like with many other trends, will never change. Many of us hoped that he would ride the coattail of someone who has been a MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR when given a shot at starting & someone who more than helped us win the previous 2 games. I know...wishful thinking. He favors seniors on scholarship who have played more minutes under him. It's all about trust, imo.
