Stole a peak at the VCU game. The refs are really letting VCU get away with hacking. The score was 35-37, VCU, the Fordham player had a break away dunk and VCU just crushed the guy. No foul. Terrible.

While I'm enjoying this, if they lose two (3 since we'd beat them tomorrow) of our marquee wins all of a sudden dont look so good. Plus our RPI would take a major hit, guess we'd just have to win the whole thing.

The term Red Rams reminds me of Redrum. Was that in the Shining? Someone painted that on a door in the bathroom in Marsh hall. Every time I walked out of the stall, I saw the word Murder in red.

No matter how this turns out, I like the fact that its turning into a battle. Better for tired legs tomorrow to have to play us.

Yeah, even if VCU wins, they are going to have to grit it out, and they'll play us with the knowledge that instead of coming out and dominating Fordham, they barely beat them.

We should beat both these teams by 8+ tomorrow. It doesnt really matter who we play now. Both are not good

Blow to Severe's eye strikes me as calculated and cynical. All-academic team Mo Allie-Cox is very smart and knew what he was doing.

Severe out of the game is not good for the red rams.

VCU is better for our rpi, even if we don't make the big dance it's got to help us make the NIT to have a higher rpi.

Looks like the Lambs pulled it out. Eye poke on Severe looks like the play that won the game.

I'm sure RPI fans are acting like they won the Super Bowl.

The other side of the coin (as VCU is going to win) is that they'll be warmed up for play in this arena and gotten the proverbial cobwebs out against Fordham. That's one of the reasons that Fordham was able to give VCU a good game I think. I think the team that has a game under their belt always has the advantage. Now, once that teams gets into their 3rd, 4th game in row that doesn't matter, they'll just be tired.

No way in hell Refs and A-10 let RPI lose that game and have no UR rematch and an empty building for 3 days.

The reason Fordham gave VCU a good game is that VCU isn't good. They are horrible on offense without Weber forcing turnovers and easy transition buckets. They aren't good on defense without Weber forcing turnovers. Their only players who can score are Graham and Melvin.

Agreed. I don't want to be overly optimistic, but VCU is wounded duck. We need to come out hot and ready and I think they will fold like a house of cards. Could see a game similar to our tournament game with them last year. I hope we remember the waxing they put on us up there.

Take Diekvoss' redshirt off long enough for him to go poke Johnson in the eye, not be called for a foul, and then bingo. We win.
