Stole a peak at the VCU game. The refs are really letting VCU get away with hacking. The score was 35-37, VCU, the Fordham player had a break away dunk and VCU just crushed the guy. No foul. Terrible.
Haha, that's tends to happen around tourney time.Originally posted by Stonewall D:

Blow to Severe's eye strikes me as calculated ... Severe out of the game is not good for the red rams.
The reason Fordham gave VCU a good game is that VCU isn't good. They are horrible on offense without Weber forcing turnovers and easy transition buckets. They aren't good on defense without Weber forcing turnovers. Their only players who can score are Graham and Melvin.Originally posted by SpiderFan:
The other side of the coin (as VCU is going to win) is that they'll be warmed up for play in this arena and gotten the proverbial cobwebs out against Fordham. That's one of the reasons that Fordham was able to give VCU a good game I think. I think the team that has a game under their belt always has the advantage. Now, once that teams gets into their 3rd, 4th game in row that doesn't matter, they'll just be tired.
Agreed. I don't want to be overly optimistic, but VCU is wounded duck. We need to come out hot and ready and I think they will fold like a house of cards. Could see a game similar to our tournament game with them last year. I hope we remember the waxing they put on us up there.Originally posted by fan2011:
