I'd say the crowd was okay in light of a mid-week game for a team coming off 2 20 loss seasons.

SO to the students, late showing, but into the game and stayed to the end

I mean guys in the 1st half Vandy was 12-30 from the field including 4-14 with 3PTAs. And Mooney's team only gave them 1 FTA. So now we can't say UR played some decent defense?

I mean if you want to say Vandy sucks at shooting they sure didn't look that way in the 2nd half going 18-30 including 10-18 with 3PTAs. The stat of giving up only 9 2nd chance points for the game tells you UR did something right on defense.

Also, forcing so many turnovers (19) and scoring 30-some points off of them is a big time positive from the defensive end.

The defense of these first two games makes me long for the return of the matchup zone.

The reality of it is that he didn’t really have to know how to coach matchup zone or man-to-man defense last night, he only needed to know how to stop Nesmith from hitting wide-open threes all night long, but he couldn’t figure that out either.

The Spiders under Mooney remain an incredibly profitable fade. It is astonishing how bad they are against the number, particularly OOC. It's such a statistical outlier, it doesn't seem sustainable. But, keep hammering it until it stops working. They may have the worst ATS record in Division I over the last 5 years.

Despite protests to the contrary on here, you can "have it both ways." If they can keep winning high scoring close games that's the best of three worlds.
It's a very sophisticated system play - normally I sell it for $995, but I'm sure you can guess it for free.
