IMHO, the keys to the game are how well the Spiders offensive protects Lauletta, and how well our defensive line pressureso Briscoe, their QB

Gotta be physical on D. Their receivers aren't used to getting smacked in the Southland Conference. And you're correct, give Briscoe time to set and look everything over and he'll pick apart most FCS defenses.

I am concerned with the size of the SHS line and if they get a running game going, it will put
added pressure on our line and make their already deadly passing game even more scarey. Got
to take some chances.

It looks like our DB's are taller than their WR's. I expect UR's defensive backfield to be much more physical and aggressive than they have been in years' past. If SHSU can establish the run, their horses up front could be the difference maker.

For some reason, even as his days at new-Ark U,I felt like I would get great pleasure by punching him squarely on his nose.Never liked his attitude.Knocking Keeler senseless with a quick TKO might change his cockiness.Probably not.
I liked Keeler until I watched the video. He smirked when he said he wanted the game to be played down there (instead of in Richmond).

Has anyone seen a depth chart yet?

Over the past couple of years, the AD has released a PDF weekly with game notes.

The game notes tab on Spiders website is only updated thru end of last season.

Stopped over at practice tonight. We appear very healthy and loose. Remarkably healthy for this time of year. Ive also been intrigued by the amount of Mo Town music we play at practice under the new staff.

TRANSFERS SET TO MAKE IMPACT--The Kats expect to get help from their heralded signing class, but will also be looking at its transfer additions to help immediately. There are 17 FBS transfers currently on the roster, including nine joining this season. Additions such as Darius Mouton (UNLV), Payton Hendrix (Texas Tech), JacColbie Butler (UTSA) and Craig Williams Jr. (Fresno City College) are expected to transform the secondary, while Chris Stewart (Wake Forest), Spencer Williams and Sekou Clark (Trinity Valley CC) have arrived to help a defensive line that lost five of eight off the final two-deep of 2016. Additionally, the Sam Houston added help on the offensive line with Ty Barrett (TCU) and Zack Kinninger(Fresno State) after losing three pieces of last year’s protection corps, while Josh Moore (Missouri) is expected to be a key addition at tight end.

Is Tyler Wilkins banged up? I'm surprised to see him behind Tibbs after the season he had last year.

I thought Wilkins (May have been Bevels) was hurt in that spring game. Haven't heard if he was back form the injury.

Wilkins is fine. I wouldn't over analyze the depth chart there.

TBH, the new jersey numbers of all the wide receivers is very confusing for me to remember, which is probably contributing to some confusion on who is there and who isn't. We have #'s 10, 13, 14, 18 and 19 all catching balls for us this year. Tibbs is the only guy in the 80's (traditional WR #) that figures to catch a bunch of balls.

Don't forget, #8 Able and #11 Hudson

Remember Coach Keeler from Delaware ... fun when we won there .. and looking for more of the same in Texas............................

Hope that there is a decent crowd tonight. The Baylor facility looks very impressive.
