Not a good start. We are driving to basket with our small guards, rather than Terry or TJ.

About 4500 people and no ASU cheerleaders. We should be up by 8

Announcers gave the RC and the fans attending some big props: "postseason atmosphere". Great to hear/see the local fans getting behind our guys in the NIT.

We're up, but I doubt that we can win by attacking the basket with small guards. But, I'm wrong so far. Would rather win this game, than be right.

This has been a thug mugging so far. Refs have lost control. Terry Allen out with back injury.

Spiders up 25 to 21. The 4 Juniors have done nothing yet. I look forward to them showing up in the second half. All Kendall, ADJ and TJ so far.

Believe it or not we are better than ASU. If TJ, K0. SDJ had ANY help whatsoever we would be up by 12 at the half. 32 to 31.

Allen is playing. Hope he can have a great second half, which we need, to win this game.

Doesn't this network know where UR is located? During a couple of commercial breaks they showed scenes from downtown Richmond instead of scenes of the UR campus!

TBS. they are working on stretching TA's back right know. He is hurt.

The ASU thug fest is about to boil over here. ASU's biggest thug #21 has 4 fouls now.

I see the NCAA tourney has all the good refs. We got the leftover trash.

Too many turnovers, Davis is bringing nothing to this game and should sit, or we are done for the year.

We really need something from ANO. I love the guy but so far this is probably the worse game of his career. Pullin for you big guy!

Why can NO Junior on this team BOX OUT????????? #11 for ASU is playing volley ball by himself!!!!

ASU winning huge on offensive boards. Kendall had chance to win the game, but missed. We're going to OT.

Say what you want about K0, but I wish we had 5 of him. He is one tough beast!!!!!!

Great game, it did look like a great atmosphere on TV. I loved the announcers - very enthusiastic. Kept calling Kendall the "Tiny Giant". Love TJ's game. Next year I want to see more consistency from, and more touches for Terry. He can play some ball. Huge 4 by Kendall, nice win.

KA came up big at the end of the game and Allen was a warrior on the boards but the unsung hero of this game was Shandre Jones. He hit that big shot in OT and made five or six really great assists during the game.
How this team continues to win with no offensive contributions from Davis, Taylor and Nelson Odota is a real mystery to me.
This was one of the most poorly officiated games on both sides of the ball that I have seen all year.
Miami is going to be a really tough game but I wasn't sure we would win these last two games so hopefully we can keep it going.
It also still mystifies me how a whole team can play defense with their hands down at their sides, particularly when the other team is shooting threes fairly well. If that isn't something that should have been addressed by the "coach" long ago, I don't know what is. Oh well, don't want to be accused of picking on the "coach".

We need to rebound much better against Miami. When ANO goes for a block and doesnt get it from the weak side it leaves that side wide open. It cost us more than a few rebounds this evening. On a positive note, I love seeing SDJ take the ball to the rim. I really wish we could find a way to get him 10+ shots a game. He has a great floater and is our best foul shooter. As mentioned on the other thread, I thought the crowd was great and was treated to a great post season game.

Spiders were dominated on offensive glass but still found a way to win. Nice contributions by Anthony, SD Jones, Allen and Cline at different points in the game. A win is a win in post season. Good job, Spiders!

After the last few games, I'm ok handing the keys to the car to SDJ, TJ and Terry.

I enjoyed the competitiveness of this game. The effort and spirit made it apparent that UR was thirsty. Makes all the difference in the world.

Yes, rebounding, particularly offensive rebounding almost cost us the game. That is nothing new, and I can live with it if the Spiders consistently demonstrate the same toughness and fight, the desire to WIN the game, that was on display tonight.

Also this is one of the few times that I can remember that Chris Mooney did start trying to kill the clock 8-12 minutes before the end.

Seriously, playing to score in the final 3-minutes (and the overtime) were a big part of this victory. The Spiders executed and played with poise down the stretch. Made the free throws when they counted. Result = W

Win or lose, this type of effort was better than what I have seen most of this season. Keep it going!

Great game, gutted this out for sure. The crowd sounded energetic, wished I could have been their. Far and away the best tv announcers we have had! If you were at the game and recorded it,be sure to watch it.

I have a man crush on TJ. It's so much fun watching him play, and he looks like he is having fun out there. He always looks like the smartest guy on the court. Can't wait until Tuesday

I thought TJ played very well on the defensive end. One of the announcers made a point to call out how well he played on D, especially when he got switched to a perimeter player. I hate some of the calls these refs made, though I didn't feel like they were any worse for one team or another. A guy plays good defense, moves his feet to get to the spot and gets rewarded with a foul. One particularly egregious call was when ANO had the bad fortune to get his stomach in the way of a blatant hook by the offensive player and got called for the foul.

I think this was TJ's best defensive game of the season!!!!! Coupled with his offensive productivity, he played like a guy on a mission. He's court savy. Really enjoy watching him play.

The rebounding has concerned me all year. I know I know...it's a philosophy thing especially on offensive, but we were outrebounded 15 to 2 on the ASU offensive boards. Sometimes they were getting 2 or 3 rebounds on a series. I believe that accounted for 13 2nd chance points. Just a theory - but cut those in half & no overtime. We need to box out & be more aggressive on the other team's board. Miami is big & physical. We'll probably see a similar inside approach by the Canes.

Off topic but I just saw that McKissic's dunk over Ododa last night was #10 on SC's top plays. Hate to say it but that dunk was absolutely filthy. Although we were on the wrong side of that play the SC host did throw out that the spiders pulled off the win in OT

Yeah, pretty sick dunk. But I'd gladly give him that one all night at that point of the game, as opposed to another three from #4. That guy was on fire at the end, and we finally got out on him far enough on that possession to force them to take a two instead. Probably won us the game.

Definitely refreshing to see the team adjust and step out on Blakes after he hit a couple of 3s, unlike the 3rd VCU game when we never really forced Johnson out of his comfort zone until he had already hurt us. Was it just me or did it seem like we backed off ASU and made them prove they could hit the jumper? Hopefully we can pack it in against Miami to help neutralize their size advantage, hopefully none of their outside shooters get hot.
