I have been a spider fan since I was about 17 years old. I am now 30. I attend just about every basketball game every year, I might miss 1 or 2 a year. I visit this page very often but do not comment hardly ever.
We should compile a quiz that is sent to people who need verification, lol. Any questions people want on it?
It can't be anything that is easily Googled. It would have to be stuff like: Which ODU player from 1997 had the hottest girlfriend on Earth when they visited the Robins Center that year? (Mark Poag). Etc.
My wife is a VCU alum, and she was saying there was a lot of pissing and moaning on Lambnation about the scarcity of tickets for the game tonight. Plus they are all complaining about parking like they always do.
So whatever measures were taken to keep our tickies out of the hands of Lamb fans seems to have worked. I reckon proof will be in the pudding in terms of how many gold and black shirts we see at the RC tonight.

I find parking on campus to be free and very easy. I usually park over in the lot behind Ryland Hall, and make the very short hike past Jepson and Robins Halls and walk up the ramp to the RC. Easy in, easy out. No biggie at all, way cheaper and easier than the parking decks by the Seagull Center.
It would be better and easier if there was a policy that only allowed Richmond fans to park on campus. Autos, motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards, particularly stolen ones, would have their registration verified and the mode of transportation would be searched and if any clothing item was yellow or black or particularly if horns were found that vehicle would have to park off campus. A few simple questions would verify Richmond fans - for example, which Richmond basketball coach led his team to an undefeated season? Which basketball coach should have the Robins Center Court named after him? Who is the leading basketball scorer in men's basketball all time? What terrific ladies are we honoring and remembering this season by wearing a patch on the uniforms?
I agree that there were significantly less RPI fans there tonight. Well done by Spider Club, the ticket office, and Spider fans. I will personally double the extra tickets I buy next year to keep more of them out next year.
Definitely worked to freeze Lambs out. Even though there were some spread out over RC, they couldn't get more than a few together. Kinda wish they'd taken note of who weren't Spider fans, what seats they were in, and not send any emails to them when we do the special buyout again next season. Don't care if they even bought a mini-pack. Good job Spider fans on taking back the RC!!!!! Let's do even better next year.
