UR to the Big East

As someone who loves talking expansion this is about as unrealistic as the A-10 bringing back football. I wouldn’t mind seeing the A10 add Belmont, drop La Salle, or both. Adding Belmont makes it a contiguous conference also.

Curious, are you on the selection committee SR? Our OOC schedule is getting better with the teams we have beating getting good wins!
Irrelevant to the Big East discussion.
But the Big East discussion is pretty silly. We are more likely to rejoin the Colonial.

As much as I was very excited about being considered part of the conversation a few years ago when the Big East was recreated after we had the one year of the Über A-10 in 2013 (when we were 16 teams), I come back to a question that I have always felt about UR in general, from my time as a student there until today.

Why does UR have such an identity crisis? We always want to be someone else, whether it be the "Harvard of the South" or a basketball team in the Big East. It would be great if our university could continue to build its own identity, somehow, without needing to jump on the coattails of someone else. We have always had marketing/branding problems, both internally (within the faculty/staff/board) and externally (fans/alum).
